Nifty and it works to protect the rod tip
After breaking the tip off 3 rods while in transit, I decided to look for a solution. This is such a simple foam cover for the tip but it can be very secure with the Velcro ties. My grandson rammed the fishing rod into the side of the car by accident and both the rod and the car survived without a scratch.

There needs to be a way to secure it better. it keeps slipping. Need a better way to tie it.
