They are very comfortable, they seem to be very resistant, and the wide size is perfect. In other brands the wide size is too wide. I will update the review again in a year.

Great boots for work

I have had Keen hiking boots before that were great. This is a good looking boot. I was surprised at how heavy they were. They were comfortable. For me, it came down to not being impressed enough with them to warrant spending $180. I returned them.

I usually wear a 10 wide. Way too small. Ordered a 10 and a half wide, still too small. Ended up in an 11 wide.The first two days in these were miserable. It feels like my toes are pointing up at my face. Feels like my foot is in a vice. Lots of toe room though.The rivet sitting directly on my big toe knuckle seems like poor placement. I was having regrets, then I tried some insoles that do not go all the way to the toe. It was a huge improvement and corrected the angle of the foot bed. I also used a boot stretcher to stretch the ball area, which was painful before. They are very comfortable now.1. Order insoles immediately. Get ones that go under the heel and arch only.2. Get a boot stretcher. It will save you a lot of break in time that is downright painful.

These are not light weight. If you walk long distances in your boots these may not be for you. What they are is heavy duty. I have an acreage property where I’m doing tree work, trenching, tractor and excavator work as well as concrete. My last two pair of boots were good but the soles peeled to mid-foot starting at the toe. The toe caps on these take a beating and I don’t know if they’ll ever fail. The tread clears out well and they’re just so solid. Great cushion and ankle support. Like I said they’re a bit heavy but built like a corn-fed linebacker.

I really wanted to like these. They are very comfortable to stand in. But, when I walk the part of the boot that bends digs into the top of my feet especially on top of my big toe knuckle. I thought they just needed broken in, but I've been wearing them for almost 2 weeks. Its so bad it distracts me from my work. I've had many boots before as an electrician and never had this problem before. I'm going to power through for another week to see if they improve. If not, I'll be returning them. The leather seems soft though, so I doubt it will get better. Maybe this pair was just poorly made. I'll probably be going back to Irish setters.
