Had a single bowl PetLibro model that I really liked. My cats used to never go to the food dish at the same time when it dispensed but cats being cats, they have changed their ways and started both heading to the kitchen when the feeder dispensed so off I went to look for a dual feeder.My requirements was that it had an app. I like to know that it fed them at the appropriate times each day when I am not home and without an app, there is no way to know. This one paired up immediately with the app and I was able to manually dispense a serving and set up daily times for it to feed them. The app also notifies you if the food in the container is low. That is not a feature of the more expensive PetLibro feeder that I had. It's been working like a champ since I got it.The cats were a bit startled at first because the bowls are aluminum and the old one was plastic. The new noise it made when the food dropped made them wonder what that was. But they got used to it quickly. Very pleased.

We needed a 2 cat feeder that could work on a timer and through via app so we took a chance on this one. The instructions were vague but we figured it out. There doesn't seem to be a way to control the actual portion size but the workaround is to adjust the number of portions dispensed or the frequency. I like that the app keeps track of the feedings so that we can check remotely. I wish it could be configured for American time/date display as well as have adjustable portion size.

We have had two cats for awhile now and with only one machine they resorted to butting heads (no fighting luckily) when trying to eat their food from the same bowl. I knew this wasn't sustainable and maybe they were growing resentful of each other lol. This item resolves my issue with ease.The app was very easy to set up (we are a techy household so more tech-illiterate people may have issues) and portion control was easy to figure out. The only thing with the app is that it will request things like my location and bluetooth access every once and while but I deny it and don't run into any issues with it. It was very easy to put together as well. My cats are now happy they both get their own bowl and they are so happy when it goes off. The only downsides I have is that it doesn't have a chime/noise you can record when the food dispenses like my last one, not a huge deal. The other being if you have a mischievous cat, mine will stick there paw up where the machine dispenses and knock a couple kibbles free. This has them messing with it every once and while but we're training them not to do that anymore but even my last old crappy automatic feeder had this problem.I would definitely recommend this to anyone with two cats and want to simplify to one machine as this one works great for my case!

This feeder does what it is supposed to, but figuring out how to get everything set up was pretty frustrating, and I'm not sure if I'm even going to keep using it.The directions that came with the feeder were minimally helpful, and that was only with putting everything together. To actually use the automatic feeder, you have to download an app that the instructions don't explain how to use, nor does the app itself have much information about it. After a little trial and error, I figured out what to do, though. Basically, you can either manually feed anytime you want by pressing a button in the app, or you can set up one or more meal plans that each will put out a designated portion of food at a set time.Now, setting up the portions was a real headache. The way it works is you can set it to distribute (x) amount of "feeds" at a time, but to figure out how many "feeds" you need for each meal plan is just trial and error by manually seeing how much releases set with 1 feed, how much with 2, and so on. Personally, I use a 1/3 measuring cup to portion out my cat's food, so I had it release 1 feed, but that wasn't near enough. So let me try 4 feeds, well, that's too much, and so forth.Something else that is frustrating about this feeder is the way it pushes the food out or something, as it seems to cause a lot of crumbs, which makes for a much messier process than me just using the scoop ever did. In the end, I never did find a way to get the amount that I needed released, so I've just been trying to adjust the feed plans the past few days; hopefully, it'll get there eventually.

I'm so pleased with this feeder! I have another one that, although I really like the look of it, didn't like that it was complicated to program and made a high-pitched whining noise that scares my cats when it dispenses. So I decided to try this one and I was not disappointed. I was a little nervous about using an app to set the schedule, but realized it uses the SmartLife app which has a pretty good rep and has been around long enough to not feel the need to worry about any major bugs. Within a few minutes I had the schedule set, and was able to test manual feeding and it was smooth sailing. I do wish the bowls were set a little higher like my other feeder because the cats seem to like that but otherwise this is my new feeder.The dispensing motor is practically silent, the only noise is the food dropping into the stainless bowls which they don't seem to mind and it alerts them that it's feeding time.I like that I can manually dispense food from the app and I like the look of it. It does have a battery backup (batteries not included) so no worries if there is a power failure. I especially like the dual bowls because I have 4 cats so they aren't crowding each other at the bowl at feeding time. It seems made well, it feels sturdy only time will tell if the motor holds up. Overall very nice!
