New Replacement Universal Apple Remote Control for Apple TV 4K/ Gen 1 2 3 4/ HD A2169 A1842 A1625 A1427 A1469 A1378 A1218 with TV Control Function

I hoped this would be a cheap alternative to the Apple control. It was cheap but it stopped working within a week. Also, battery powered not rechargeable.

I am not happy with this product. I bought it in January and, already, it no longer works properly. I am not happy at all.

I was a bit disappointed that it was not made from metal but maybe that is expecting a little too much given the price. The remotes packaging was minimal and a simple manual explains how to use it. It requires a battery which is not included, CR2032 button cell. Although it is designed fro Apple products I really wanted to use it with a Media Centre PC. As it is an infrared remote control it was fairly easy to programme the various functions of the IR receiver on the PC and I was able to get most of the core functions working. The remote itself as mention has a plastic shell and build quality is okay. The buttons on the remote are soft rubber ones which I like. Overall, it's an okay remote control with average build quality. The range seem okay but I do not have very big rooms. For controlling TV it works as a universal remote control and has a simple search function to try and find the correct frequencies fro your TV.

I'm afraid this only works if I tightly squeeze from the back (where the battery is located) as well as depressing the front buttons.

Gutted, spent £50 on a geniune replacement, so thought this would be a great spare for that just incase.... Just simply doesnt work on all 3 versions of our Apple TV.Dont waste your time or money :(
