As far as LED dog ball go I've literally tried them all and this is by Far the most durable. i have a 2yo Very active 80lb Malinois. She has a crazy bite and i use a ball launcher I'm throwing it high and far so it's taken a beating. i would be happy to get 6-8 months out of one of these. This exceeded that and is still going strong. I would only recommend this ball to ppl no others compare.

I’ve gone through SEVERAL light up balls over the years having an Australian Cattle Dog. Let me tell you I was about to create one myself because either the lights would go out so fast and/or the battery piece would come loose due to play times All durability issues and I was so over it. Bad designs all around.But finally found one that the battery is a separate piece that is highly protected and it has 2 modes! I’m so happy about this ball and so is my Aussie. We play every night and this ball is so great I immediately bought another one.

This item is rechargeable which is a wonderful quality but it is not suitable for very hard chewers not even older puppies of the Coton de Tulear breed!

I have an active lab who has been using this about 5 times before it became defective. The lighting is provided by a central core piece that screws in and out. However, the base that the core screws into has become detached from the rest of the ball rendering it useless.When I first got it, I felt it was a bit over-engineered because it needed the core to be removed and charged through a USB-C connection. That's ok, but you need to unscrew it each time to switch it on. I had already become concerned because the notch to screw it in and out had started to disintegrate, so I tried leaving it on, but that simply discharged the battery.If you have an active dog who like to chew a bit on a ball, this won't work.

Initially, it was wonderful. The light lasted a long time between charging. I have a very active black lab and playing fetch is her goal in life. Over time, however, the base became dislodged and would detach from the ball itself. I tried glue, however, it did not hold. My lab has a very heavy mouth and I'm assuming that may have contributed to the detachment. If there is a way to repair it (i.e. glue good for rubber and plastic) let me know.

Its durable, but we don't leave it out. Even if it could claim invincibility, I know it wouldn't last long the way my dog demolishes toys. It held up well at the beach, a bit of sand got past the seal, which is annoying to clean, but that's the only negative I have.

I was pretty pleased with the purchase when I opened it out of the box; it felt sturdy and the lights were bright. However, it only lasted for a few occasions. I don't let my pup have access to it unless we're going to the park at night because I don't want to have to worry about him gnawing on it, so I know it was likely from throwing it (light bulb ripped out and won't stay in). I would maybe buy it again because the ball is great, and I realize it's only ~$20, but I'm not going to spend $100 for a year's supply of balls. This was annoying enough for me to write my first review... I wouldn't recommend this product.

This is a great toy for dark winter evenings. Have purchased 2 but same outcome for each purchase.The ball is soft and chewable, and worked great for about a month using it every evening/night time outing. The cover for the battery/control compartment broke after a couple weeks of use, but the ball itself seems to last well. The lights are bright and really help in finding it in the snow. The issue is that the inside light up component of the ball fell out of the ball. I managed to put it back inside the ball but it keeps falling out.Wish it lasted longer than a month.

This ball is great. Has great battery life, very durable, really bright and has many different colours. My dog loves this ball.

I bought this on February 26, 2024. It was advertised as waterproof and durable plain fetch in our backyard. Not even at the dog park. It broke apart and my dog ended up just bringing back the light up part no longer able to be used. I’ve also noticed condensation inside, and now the ball won’t light up $30 for a ball that lasts three or four days is really expensive. It’s really too bad because if it was more durable, I would’ve given it five stars. I love how it lights up and that we can have fun in the evenings when it’s dark.

Bought this ball for Xmas gift for 2 shetland sheepdogs! Nice and durable design with hidden battery. They seem to be attracted to the gentle refreshing scent that the ball has. They like the ball especially when it bounces on the floor and changes colour in the meantime, which is so cool and interactive! Perfect ball to play with your dogs at night!
