Not frustrating to the puppy
We tried a few other "slow eating" bowls. Our dog is still a puppy and would get very frustrated trying to get her kibble. She would start pushing the bowl around and causing issues. We tried this bowl and we are very happy with it. Our puppy takes much longer to eat out of this bowl, but she does not get frustrated. It works to slow her down and she can still reach all the kibble.

Good buy!
Love this bowl. I used a similar dog bowl I found at the 99 cent store for my pit bull years ago. After months of using it he was able to eat slower. I took it away and he doesn’t rush through meals, but I threw the bowl out. Once we got our new puppy I noticed she just inhales food too. Literally gone in seconds. Now she eats her food in a timely manner. I’m hoping we won’t have to use it forever, but if we have to I expect this will last. If you have a fast eater this is a great buy!

Works as advertised
Wasn’t really sure if this was going to do the trek for a gobbler dog. But slow down her feeding. Very well.

Works well
Keeps my new puppy from eating to fast and vomiting later. Does the job!

Does the job
This bowl has slowed my 6 month old black lab puppy from 5 seconds to 5 minutes, hurray! Suction is not an issue for me as the bowl is placed on a rug. It would slide around on tile or hardwood floors, for sure. It also is fairly lightweight, and a smart dog could use their paw to simply tip it over. Bonzo has not discovered this - yet. I clean the bowl by simply rinsing is with hot water right after feeding.

Good slow feeder
I have a 120 lab /Dane mix with digestive problems. He hated this bowl at first, but I'm so glad I bought it. He more than doubled the time it takes to eat now and burps less. It has survived the top rack of the dishwasher 3-4 times so far and the "saliva slime" all big dogs leave was easily cleaned off.It is made of a thick, durable plastic and doesn't feel flimsy. My only complaint is that it has no suction power at all. It moves with the slightest tap and I had to put it on a mat so he wasn't chasing it around the kitchen.

Slow down boy
Bought this for my big dog. He’s a 130lb dog and was rushing to eat his food so I purchased this to slow him down. It has been working well.

Not for smart dogs...
1st of all, I did not get this to slow down a fast eater. We free feed our dogs, so we have never had a problem with gulping food or bloating.Unfortunately, our youngest dog has another habit; namely, picking up a mouthful of food, carrying it away, dumping it elsewhere (floors, couches, yard, etc...), abandoning it for a while, then, occasionally wandering back at a later date and time to nibble on it.Needless to say, this is behavior we would like to see stop.Consequently, we decided this type of bowl might help solve, or at least mitigate, the problem.Alas, we underestimated our dog, who is a Doberman. As people who have had Dobermans know, they are above average problem solvers, which is why we should not have been surprised when about 10 minutes after the bowl was filled, our sweet girl had already figured out a work around....Basically, instead of having to eat her kibble out of the bowl a few pieces at a time, she just flipped the bowl over, so she could get as much as she wanted off the floor. This has left us trying to figure out how to make the bowl un-flippable.Honestly, this bowl will do what it is designed to do, UNLESS your dog is the extra mischievous type who sees every obstacle as a challenge to be overcome. In that case, you'll probably just get stuck picking a lot of kibble up off the floor.
