Big Nick Energy: A Single Mom Cowboy Christmas Romance (Season of Revenge Series)

The perfect cozy, spicy, holiday read.
If you read Tis the Season for Revenge and loved the plot and progression of the story, you need to get this one added to your holiday TBR. I wouldn't say its required for enjoying this read, there are some character references to this story that are more enjoyable when you know the details BUT they're both such great reads that you would be doing yourself a disservice by NOT reading that one too.Shae is working hard, y'all. She is doing the most while trying to take up the least amount of space in her new life, away from an ab*sive partner with two little girls who are her everything. One chance (and basically one-off) decision to meet up with a Tinder date places her in the proximity of the Finch men - mid-20s-something Connor and his dad, Nicolas. While both Connor and Shae realize from that first date that they are only destined for friendship, his invitation to his dad's ranch and Christmas tree farm for Thanksgiving has his dad taking real serious notice of the strong willed single mom. Not to mention Ruby and Harper are delightful breaths of child-wonder-filled air that Nick has been missing around his house. The story that follows is described by the author as a Hallmark-type Christmas story but with some heat and while I would sort of agree, to me this was SO MUCH BETTER than that. Nick is literally every woman's dream come true - patient, understanding, willing to do whatever it takes to prove without needing to be told that he's there for the long haul no matter how long it takes. And Shae deserves (and needs) this type of approach because after a decade of living with a man who tore her down every chance he got, she is doing what she can to try and remember just exactly who she is.Sprinkle in some holiday magic for the kiddos, add a dash of drama when the ex comes by, throw in a healthy serving of the annoying PTO mom eating crow where everyone gets to watch.. this story literally has it all.If you like:- easy-to-read novels with spicy Christmas scenes that include a cowboy and that Christmas elf we all love to hate- the standard Christmas story outline of a romance film but with better characters and a more engaging plot- happy-ever-afters that include an epilogue which will leave you kicking your little feet under your cozy blanket.... make sure you read this one before the season is over. It's a true delight, it got me out of a slump and I will look forward to reading any and all of the Seasons of Revenge stories that are released going forward.

Adorable and touching holiday read.
"A few months ago I asked the universe for a cowboy romance from Morgan Elizabeth and she said ""I got you bestie, what if we made him a Christmas cowboy?"" YES PLEASE SANTA.Shae, picking up the pieces from her abusive marriage and subsequent divorce, is eager to make her daughter's first holiday post divorce the best yet. Connor, her one-time tinder date turned friend, swoops in inviting her and her girls to his dad’s Christmas tree farm and ranch for Thanksgiving with her two daughters.Connor's dad NIck Finch is a gorgeous golden retriever cowboy who Shae quickly turns against when he tells her girls all about the magic of the stupid elf on a shelf. Feeling terrible for putting one more thing on the single mom's plate, Nick finds himself driving two hours every night just to deliver an elf, move him about, and create some Christmas magic for her girls. But what happens when he decides he wants Shae and her girls as his own? Can he make a Christmas miracle happen and convince her to fall for him? This was SO cute! Perfect dash of all things Morgan Elizabeth. Funny, endearing, spicy, and swoony. This is the perfect quick read for the holidays when you want something to get you into the spirit without draining our energy and time. I loved Shae's story (we meet her in 'Tis the Season for Revenge) and seeing her and her girls begin to thrive post divorce was really touching. Adding Nick into the dynamic was so tender and sweet. He really became a teammate for Shae and a great support for the girls. Morgan also promised us a cowboy who knew what to do with some rope, and she for sure delivered. TGiddy on up and get yourself some Christmas cowboy with Big Nick Energy!

Big Nick Energy, Indeed!
Big Nick Energy, a standalone novel and book four in the Seasons of Revenge series-My rating is 5 stars.I’ve heard of Morgan Elizabeth, mostly due to the hype around her novel, The Playlist, but THIS book has also received a lot of hype. I’ve been trying to broaden my reading horizon’s and read some holiday novels. With the attention this book has garnered and the appeal of the title, Big Nick Energy, it seemed that this book should be an obvious choice.I couldn’t have picked a better read as my first Morgan Elizabeth novel. I absolutely loved this story. It definitely ran me through the gambit of emotions but most notably, it made me smile and it made me hope that someday, maybe I’ll find a Christmas miracle, too.Anyone who has had to experience single life with children will be able to find something relatable in this story. It is such a feel-good, touching story that everyone else will be able to appreciate it, as well.Shae was an impressive FMC. She had a lot of great qualities but her fierce independence was the one I admired most. She wanted to create her new life for her and her girls without having to rely on anyone else. She wanted to provide everything through her own hard work and determination. The author was able to portray exactly how it can feel as a single mother, especially after an abusive marriage/relationship. She touches on how overwhelming it can be, to always be feeling like you aren’t doing enough for your kids, to be bone tired at the end of every day, to have a never ending laundry list of things that need to be done, to be worried about the damage and pain suffered by your kids while you were in that relationship, to know your children deserve all the things that you cannot possibly provide by yourself…the list goes on. She also hit the nail on the head when she described what dating in this modern day and age is like (haha!) I could write an entire paper about how much I loved Shae’s character…The title of this book was perfect. Nick definitely had that big energy. He was the perfect MMC. He was able to empathize with Shae from the get go, since he had single-handedly raised his own son from infancy. He knew what some of her struggles were like and that gave him a unique perspective of her situation. He was so incredibly patient and understood Shae’s need to always be in control. I loved how he was always reminding her that she had all the power, reminding her that she set the pace, she decided what would or wouldn’t happen between them. The plot was so, so good and this story flowed seamlessly from start to finish. The support characters were written so well, especially Ruby and Harper. They each had their own unique set of issues that they were dealing with. The author really captured the narcissistic personality of their father and I was truly disgusted with him and his antics. The author was also able to capture the magic of Christmas and I found it hilarious that Shae and Nick’s story really began all because of The Elf on a Shelf!!!I feel like I can’t possibly write a review that does this book justice. It was a beautiful story and I loved watching the evolution of the relationship between Shae and Nick AND the relationship between Nick, Ruby and Harper. It was truly a beautiful reading experience. If you’re looking for a holiday novel with an emphasis on love and healing, that will not only make you laugh but possibly make you shed a tear, this is the book for you.

Big Nick Energy by Morgan Elizabeth
🔅 𝑩𝒊𝒈 𝑵𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝑬𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒚 𝒃𝒚 𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒏 𝑬𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒉Genre: Holiday RomanceRating: 5🌟𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:This was the perfect holiday romance. I was initially drawn in by the hilarious title and I’m glad to say that it did not disappoint. Big Nick Energy is equally heart-warming and spicy while being wonderfully festive. All of this without being just another cheesy ‘hallmark-holiday-romance-type’.The chemistry between Shae and Nick is believable and easy to buy into, not to mention Nick giving off some serious ‘daddy’ vibes. 😏 He is an absolute sweetheart and treats Shae and her daughters like absolute gold. Don’t let the sweetness fool you though - he can throw down when the opportunity arises 🌶️. Contrast that with Shae’s ‘grumpy’ exterior - deep down she’s just stubborn, independent and protective of her family. The care and determination Nick uses while slowly breaking through Shae’s walls had me rooting for them until the very end.🎄Tropes:•cowboy romance•single mom/single dad•reverse grumpy/sunshine•he falls first•no third act breakup!Possible triggers:•mention of previous domestic abuse - although there is no on screen abuse, the mention of it can still be triggering for some. ♥️

such a great book! 4.5 🌟🌟🌟🌟
e, the way the knows when it’s time to take care, the way the he knows when she is spiraling down its soooo goood. I love the way their relationship develops and the end of the book its sooooo nice. I definitely will recommend this book to anyone looking for a Christmas romance with some hot scenes.I gave it 4.5 stars because it’s not my favorite trope when the MC already have children and because sometimes it’s was waaaayy to cheese for my liking but it’s a personal preference. Still such a great book.

A Perfect Festive Read!
Morgan Elizabeth’s ‘Big Nick Energy’ is hands down one of my favourite festive books ever! The grumpy/sunshine reversal (from the typical ‘she’s sunshine, he’s grumpy) is perfect and completely justified with Shae’s past relationship history causing her to keep her guard up, while Nick’s warmth is awe-inspiring and heartwarming to the point of happy tears. The way Nick is with Shae’s daughters is truly beautiful, as is his patience to slowly work his way into their mother’s heart. I can honestly see myself coming back every year around Christmas to read this again. Absolutely love and would highly recommend!
