MSI GK-701 MX RGB LED Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Silver

Bought to replace a faulty Razer Black Widow keyboard and very happy with it on the whole. I do a lot of computer programming and the customisable backlit keyboardmeans I can have the room lights off and still see the keyboard, which was part of my reason for purchase.If you like to mess with the lighting you're in for a tough time. There is no software by which to control it - it's all done via the keyboard and it isn't a clear, simple process at all. I accidentally changed the lighting and it took me ages to figure out how to get it back to normal.Beyond that, the only other thing is that the CherryMX Speed switches are more sensitive than what I'm used to, and only need the lightest of touches to register a key press.

Technically this is my first mechanical keyboard, I bought this because the keyboard on my laptop broke. I mainly use it for typing and playing my favourite game Rainbow Six siege. The MX cherry silver switches are very responsive and amazing for any uses. I honestly cannot say how much joy i have typing with this keyboard, I sometimes just type for the sake of pressing the buttons. Also I want everyone to be aware that I bought this when it was on offer so I got a silver switch keyboard for £50.Pros:-MX Cherry Speed switches for quick typing and competitive gaming-Relatively cheap compare to other competitors-Individually RGB buttons-N Key rollover (meaning every key will be registered even if you press them at the same time)Cons:-It doesn't have a software where you control the rgb lighting and macros so everything has to be done via the keyboard buttons which took some time to understand and also it makes the lighting mode a little more limited than using software however I personally find all the modes are sufficient for my use.-UK layout? it is a good thing for me but it depends on the individual-Cleaning is not as easy as the floating buttons on other keyboard but then they are a lot more expensiveConclusion:I personally think this is the most under rated mechanical keyboard in the market mainly because this has all the competitive functions while being a lot cheaper than the others 'gaming keyboards' from corsair, razer etc. Even the MSI Flagship keyboard gk80 is not that much better but has a higher price tag.If you are looking for a mechanical keyboard with the famous MX Cherry Silver switches this is the best option out there especially if you are not loaded with money.P.S I honestly have so much joy even typing this review :)
