If you own a newer Toyota Tundra SR5 then TAKE NOTICE THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY FRONT RECOVERY POINTS TO HOOK TO. Would this be in the case, I went on the search for a quality product that would easily be installed and would provide just such a hook point in the event I needed to be pulled from a ditch or out of a roadway. This product is not only exceptionally easy to install, it is very well made and made in the USA. Anyone that can turn a wrench or owns a few simple tools can put this on without any headache. Instructional videos found on YouTube are absolutely phenomenal. Plus the fact that you don't have a recovery point on the front of your vehicle absolutely makes this a must.

Build quality is great, like the finish as well. The fit is not perfect for 23’ Tundra. I initially had difficulty with installation as the instructions don’t state that you need to remove and replace the stamped metal sway bar bushing with this product but there is a helpful video on the website. For the 23’ there are a couple retaining tabs to keep the metal plate (that you must remove) in place and one interferes with installation so you have to break it (it’s really insignificant and not a big deal). The sway bushing does get deformed by tightening down the bolts (see pic with the round bushing coming to a near 90 deg angle). Hope this doesn’t make the bushing wear really fast.

Sad Toyota did not add tow hooks to the front, but this was an easy install. Bolts right to existing bolts. I had to bend back a small tab with a hammer and punch to let it fit flush. Instructions easy to understand. Took about 10 minutes. I hope to never have to use it, but wanted an attachment point should I need one. I was going for two, however one will do the trick. Heavy duty. Time will tell.

On my 2024 Tundra SR5, the right hook does not totally clear the automatic front aero spoiler. The spoiler still goes up and down, but in the up position, the spoiler touches the hook. You can still get a strap or D ring through the hole of the hook. I may have to cut a tiny portion (1 inch) off of the spoiler. These are good hooks and are better than nothing.
