Powerful, Convenient Fire Pit with One Annoyance—Short Hose
I recently picked up the Ignik FireCan Elite FirePit, and overall, I’m thrilled with how its changed my camping and overlanding experience. Instead of lugging around wood, axes, and all the mess that comes with a traditional fire, I can just turn a knob and get cozy flames in seconds. That said, there’s one frustration: the propane hose is too short. First Impressions Sturdy & Compact: For a portable fire pit, it feels rugged without being too heavy. It’s easy to store and transport. Quick Setup: Attaching the hose and igniting the fire pit is straightforward—no fumbling with lighters or kindling. We keep an electric stick light stored inside the can on top of the Ignik firerocks. Performance & Features Heat & Fire Output: The flame is powerful, producing plenty of warmth to keep a group comfortable on cool nights. The fire output is quite impressive for a pit of this size, even on low. Ease of Use: It’s a breeze to turn on, adjust, and shut off—perfect for those who just want to relax around a fire without the prep or cleanup. Clean & Convenient: No more hauling firewood or dealing with ashes. Once you’re done, let it cool, pack it up, and you’re good to go. The Hose Issue Short Length: The included hose is too short for my liking, limiting where I can position the fire pit relative to the propane tank. This can be inconvenient if your setup requires a bit of distance for safety or layout reasons. Pros Powerful Flames: High heat output keeps everyone warm. Compact & Portable: Easy to store in a trunk or garage without taking up too much space. Low Maintenance: No smoke, no ash—just turn it off and let it cool. Quick Ignition & Shutdown: Takes seconds to light or extinguish. Cons Short Propane Hose: May need an extension if you want more flexibility in how and where you place the pit. Fuel Consumption: Higher flame settings can use up propane quickly (though this is expected with a powerful burner). After an extended weekend, propane consumption was noticable, but not abmormal when pairing with a propane camp stove. My family of two can make a 5 gallon tank last about four or five weekends of normal use and keeping the pit on low/med. Final Thoughts Despite the minor annoyance of the short propane hose, the Ignik FireCan Elite delivers on convenience, heat output, and overall ease of use. If you value hassle-free fires for camping or backyard gatherings—and don’t mind investing in a longer hose if needed—this propane fire pit is a fantastic choice. Overall Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Well worth money - looks beautiful and throws off plenty of heat.
This is an amazing little stove/heater/fireplace. I added lava rocks to the fire bin and now the flames seem to dance around more like a wood fire. The lava rocks help the pit retain/radiate more heat too. I was concerned about the temperature under the fire pit. My temperature gauge indicates the underside is 80 degrees and 900 degrees in the pit. Amazing. Suggestion or need: The hose supplied is too short. Directions suggest a 4 foot path away from the pit. The hose barely allows this to happen. I bought a 7 foot extension and now I can keep the propane 10 feet away from the fire.

Compact and well made
This thing is very compact and well built. It is smaller than a buddy heater. It also outputs good heat amount. I used ceramic fibre rocks instead of heavy volcanic rocks, and a little trivet from instant pot to create a stove. It works great so far and is easy to transport.

Love this thing!
I do minimalist truck camping and overlanding, and this is the perfect portable fire pit. It’s lightweight, packs up nicely, and the folding legs make it easy to transport and store. It puts off a surprising amount of heat. It’s not going to keep eight people warm on a 45°F night, but it’s more than enough for solo camping or a small group of two or three people. It works with or without the rocks, but the rocks make a big difference. The flame looks much more realistic, and it seems to radiate heat better. I highly recommend the Moon Rocks—they weigh next to nothing, and I just leave them in the fire pit when I pack it away. My only complaint is that Ignik didn’t include a built-in igniter. Most of us carry a lighter or other fire source anyway, so it’s not a big deal, but a simple push-button igniter would have made this thing nearly perfect. Even so, it’s easy to light and has been a great addition to my camping setup. Highly recommended.
