Reference Guide for Essential Oils, 2017 Edition, Softcover Paperback – January 1, 2017

This reference guide is very thorough in explaining essential oils, their uses, some recipes and I also like the historical aspect included. It is a "go to" book for reference. The only negative is it is totally oriented to Young Living and the rest of their products.

This book amazes me. Ever since my boss introduced me to the oils. I was hooked. The benefits of these oils are totally unexpected that it works very well with some of the health issues I have. I actually purchased the wrong book, but this book is awesome. I was looking for the quick guide version but got something totally worth buying. It is also in a reasonable price range for me. I showed the book to my boss who has almost every oils that's ever made and she loved it. She ordered herself one too. I strongly recommend for those who needs more information regarding the many oils that's been created.

The size of the 2008 version is smaller about 9 x 9 than the new 2012 version which is 12 x 16 VERY HEAVY - VERY LARGE like a coffee Table at Christmas time size and made of glossy type paper which makes it even heavier, There are a few newer oils listed in the 2012 version but not enough of them to matter because you can always go to the Young living Oils website and looks up new oils.I have bought every version of this book since 2002 and give them as gifts. The normal type paper is lighter weight. This book is a forever "keeper" book and the folklore of individual oils is a delight. You can look up an ailment in the back of the book to see which oil blends to read up on. It also lists nutritional supplements and massage oils as well as personal care products. About 2 inches thick you will refer to it 1,00 times and never get tired of it.

A must-have for anyone that uses essential oils! While I don't buy my oils from Young Living, I really appreciated this book and the level of detail it gives for each EO and ailment. This book helped me immensely last fall when I broke both of my arms and how I should help alleviate the swelling and pain. Worth every penny!

Full of information!!! Everything is in alphabetical order. Also divided into the different oils, then the conditions/illness also in alphabetical order.So, it is very easy to find what you want. There is even some pages to write down your own notes!

Beautiful hard covered book. Nice durable pages that turn easy with the spiral binding. I like some of the new information in this new addition, especially the diagrams for doing the Raindrop Technique. Great source of information for using Essential Oils.Pages in this updated book are not as heavy as the original book. Hope they hold up.

Great reference guide for people new to essential oils. Just a note, it is written with Young Living brand oils in mind so that's something to keep in mind when purchasing this book. I use young livings oils so that was a selling point for me but I know some others may prefer a more generic book. Overall this is an excellent and highly informative reference book for oil users. I also have the app version on my phone.

i'm new (and totally addicted!!) to essential oils and love to find all the ways to use them (on myself and everyone around me!!), so this book is sooo great and informative. delivery was super fast and i'm really glad, i couldn't wait to get it!!!

So much information a real treasure

I was very pleased with the content of the book but I was a bit surprised at the size or format that the book came as. It is very compact- great for travelling, but it is more difficult to read than the larger format that I was expecting to find.
