love the touch of the velvet
Bottom line: these aren’t room darkening. I didn’t have high expectations, since it was an ivory color to begin with, but they aren’t even lined. There is no coating or extra fabric in the back, and the sun shines right through the weave. I do, in fact, love the touch of the velvet! Super luxurious. But I wanted the luxury of velvet (albeit polyester) combined with a true room darkening shade. This is not it. The softness of the curtains has me contemplating adding a liner, but that defeats the point of buying room darkening shades to begin with. I guess that’s for other consumers to decide.
