Fall of The House of X/Rise of The Powers of X

The saga ends
A good ending to the Krakoa (hippy) saga. A very good calibration between all the X writers. I like how all the stories converge at he end.The X-MEN, mutants, and even though they do not know it yet, humanity are on the verge of being destroyed by Orchis. Nothing new to the X-MEN, right? Despite the X-MEN's fight back, the AI already calculated their every move and counter. What is Charles Xavier willing to do? How far is he willing to compromise or betray to keep his fellow family and mutants alive? Once that door is open, is there any way to close it?Even though this book can be read on its own, there are a number of parts of it that will be happening in other X books or series like Ironman. The book finishes with a huge varient cover gallery, including the full page, wraparound, and thumbnail covers.

Damp squib of an ending (spoiler alerts)
Having followed this through the graphic novels (my days of actually buying monthly comics ended decades ago), this was a huge disappointment. The artwork must be the worst in any of the key collections and some of the character developments so departed from cannon I couldn't take them seriously. Let's say I read the original Phoenix saga in the 1980s so I couldn't take Moira McTaggart's development seriously (though the original premise of her being a mutant was very interesting).Sinister has gone way off beam. His whole raison d'etre was to bring down Apocalypse. Completely lost in this arc which got so convoluted it was practically unreadable. We end up with Professor X back where he was at the end of the Onslaught arc. So nothing new at the end of it. What a shame.

A worthy conclusion
What can I say about the end of this long krokoa Run of X-Men it has had some bright shining moments and some things better left to the side, but this was captivating. This book was worth every penny. I’ve read it three times. It does a wonderful job of tying together all the themes and plot threads starting way back at the beginning with house of powers of x and when it was said and done, I was very satisfied and it was a story that here we are two weeks later I’m still thinking about don’t wonder if you should get it if you’ve read any of this run of X-Men and like even a small portion of it get this book just as good as when it started

Damaged by Amazon
Great series, but the book came damaged. Better to buy it from a company that uses cardboard mailers for their books.

Dope series
Underrated finale to the krakoa era definitely some cool twists and turns but it doesn’t make sense if you haven’t read the rest.
