TLDR: Best controller for the price, if only it had analog triggers...
Alright, so this is what you need to know about this controller, you can take this review to heart since I've used the absolute appalling POS super cheap controllers up to the official first run GameCube and Smash 4 controllers very frequently for playing such types of games.First thing you need to know is that these DO NOT come with analog triggers, I've opened mine up, and the component that senses analog inputs is missing. The only way you could possibly fix this (which I'm going to try later) is purchasing replacement analog slides and soldering them onto the board. This is probably my only gripe about this controller and is something that will be a deal breaker for most of you.Moving on, the controller itself is actually really good, it's not Smash 4 controller quality but it is WAY better than any clones I've used before. The buttons are very responsive and less clicky than most higher quality ones, but you can definitely know that you've hit the button. The z button is also very responsive and has a nice mechanical feel. The sticks are decent but they have that weird scratchy feel to them when they are being moved, something that will definitely wear off after some use. The return to center are very quick without being so strong that you're fighting against the stick or getting reverse inputs like the Smash 4 controllers do.So all in all, if you don't like spending $50 for an official Nintendo GameCube controller + usb adapter and just want something for casual on dolphin (netplay) this is something I can definitely recommend, well worth the price.

Worked 100% out of the box
Worked perfect straight out of the box. If you're like me and using it for Dolphin, it's very easy to set up and each button/stick registered perfectly. I had to set the radius down to 70 to sync up, but otherwise, it feels just like a regular GC controller

Pass it up.
I have purchased two of these controllers. Each one had the same problem: C-stick was not functional. By this I mean that the C-stick can never be calibrated to be used in the direction that you desire. If you are running Dolphin and try to calibrate it manually or automatically you will see what I mean. In addition, the R and L do not function as a Gamecube controller should, but this is not as important. If these things were fixed, I would recommend the controller as it is a spitting image of the original, but based on functionality I have to say pass. Be wary those in search of a Gamecube controller.

Not unusable, but not what I wanted
The problem with this controller is that the c stick is crossed with the a, b, x and y buttons. On this controller, pressing a and moving the stick to the right do the same thing. This makes it impossible to play pretty much any actual GameCube game, because you can't press buttons without moving the camera. It's not completely unusable, however. If you'd like to emulate 2D games from systems like the game boy, game boy advanced, NES, or SNES, this will do just fine. I ended up really liking it to emulate gba games, since I grew up playing GameCube games and the GameCube controller is my favorite. So, if you're looking to emulate actual GameCube games, which you probably are, you're better off with an adapter and original controller. But if you just want a configurable GameCube controller to play withbecause you like the controllers design, then it'll work for 2D games, but you should look elsewhere for anything 3D.

So Disappointing
Let me give you a scenario: you never had wired controllers before save for X-Box 360 ones, so, when you're playing on the emulators you have, such as Dolphin, you use that controller. Thing is, you're not a big fan of the X-Box 360 controller, and instead want to use a modified Gamecube controller made for the use of PC gaming. A couple days pass, and you finally get your anticipated controller. Now, you can play better and hone your skills at Super Smash Bros. Melee, and start going back into Melee tournaments. However, you found a problem, the controller is trash. That's my scenario, actually. This controller gives the feel of Gamecube, it has the exact look of a Gamecube controller, save for the Nintendo trademarks, and the plug for a Gamecube port. Figures, you're playing on a PC, not your Gamecube. However, what you expect is not what you're given. After configuring the settings of this controller for my Dolphin emulator, I found my biggest complaint: the analog stick shares the same inputs for the D-pad, and the C-stick shares the same inputs for the A, B, X, and Y buttons. This frustrated me so much, as this makes the controller completely useless for Gamecube emulating. Maybe this is better for NES and SNES as they require less inputs and don't have the analog and C-stick. Let me give you another scenario, let's say I gave you a TV remote with all its normal buttons, but each button was the button to go up on the channel listing, except the power button. That would make you upset, and that's currently how I feel. I spent $12.99 on this SNES controller, looking like a Gamecube controller. This is outrageous. I was promised a Gamecube controller when buying this. If you're looking for a Gamecube controller, as what this is advertised as, I highly advise you look for other options, such as a Gamecube adaptor port that you can plug in and use your actual Gamecube controllers. This is a total blow, and I'm so disappointed for buying this.

D-Pad is mapped to the joystick, C stick is mapped to a,b,x,y
This controller would be perfect if not for the decision to make the D-Pad have the same function as the joystick, and the c-stick presses a,b,x, or y depending on the direction you push. I have no idea why anyone would choose to design a controller this way, but it makes it functionally useless as a gamecube controller. The quality and feel of the controller are perfect and spot on replicas of the original, but the internals of d pad and c stick make it worthless. Don't waste your money like I did.
