Very nice quality, it’s made very well and visually no flaws. It’s a great size and just overall looks very nice. It’s a great gift idea, anyone who enjoys outdoors would enjoy this compass. Overall nice value.

This is a great looking compass. It's hefty and solid and looks spectacular. The compass is functional, too, though not super useful since the arrow took a long time to settle to North while sitting on a table. It's super wobbly, so in your hand I don't know that it'll ever be still enough to get a good bearing. The 50-year calendar on the reverse looks cool, but the print is so tiny on it that it's unusable. Maybe 18 year old eyes will be able to see it better than mine, but it's more of a novelty than anything. The box this is stored in is very nice, too. The only issue (and you can see it in the photos) is that the "I" in the Scout Oath is lower case: "On my honor *i* will do my best..." Everything else is accurate and looks great so if you don't mind the minor typo this is a very nice compass to present to a Scout.

Works great, the carving is perfect and the item looks really good and feels high quality. Great gift item and reasonably priced
