This pot was packed really well, and did not disappoint when unwrapped. Huge, it can be used to boil just about anything. Well constructed, as well. I bought as a gift, and they loved it. Planning to make some authentic bagels with this!

I ordered the one listed as a 35 quart pot. Not that it makes a huge difference but the Amazon page is confusing since it lists it as being 35 quart then 36 quart in the description. It said 34 quart on the side of the box. I measured it with water and it appears to be 34 quart capacity. No big deal. One quart of capacity isn't going to be life changing when using the pot.The pot itself is fairly well made. It's not overly thick but definitely not thin material. I have a 24 quart stainless steel pot that has a thicker base for the pot which I think helps with even heat distribution. This pot doesn't have a thicker base. It's the same rolled steel thickness throughout. This is why I felt like it deserved 4 stars instead of 5. I'd consider it a good quality pot but I wouldn't say it was the highest quality available. With that said, the price is more reasonable than the highest quality pot. If your main use for the pot is something like a seafood boil or other boiling liquids you'd never notice the difference in even heat from a pricier thicker base since you'd just be rolling liquid in it which distributes the heat plenty already.I've used it for a seafood boil already and it worked great with the included basket. I already had an aluminum pot and basket rougly the same size and it was fine for some things and it does weigh a bit less. Aluminum, however, doesn't hold up to acidic foods which is why I wanted a larger stainless steel pot. I can use this pot for canning tomatoes, cooking sauces with vinegar, etc. Aluminum does transfer heat faster than stainless steel too so it does heat up faster but it doesn't hold heat as well which is another reason I like the stainless steel pots better.

I needed a pot large enough to make a HUGE crab boil and this was perfect! The 53 quart container is not so heavy that I can’t pick it up and is well made. The heat distributes evenly and the food was perfect. I love the shiny silver color and the ease that it was to clean. The lid fits snuggly and will keep the steam inside your pot. The huge strainer made it easy to remove the food. I love how huge this pot is! We ended up inviting a large group of friends and family to join us and we devoured it all.I can’t wait to make a gigantic pot of chili or burgoo or gumbo! Great value for the money when you are feeding huge groups of people.

This stock pot is giant. Perfect for a shrimp boil! It fits on my stove, but definitely larger than a burner size.
