The REdSETTER is a well established brand producing the first domestic Canon cartridge chip resetters and now the long ignored PGI-9 cartridges have been tackled with this unit as well. To use the REdSETTER you simply: - Plug the unit cable into the REdSETTER and any available USB socket (for power) Tip: The front PictBridge USB port on printer will work if the printer is powered on. - Slot the cartridge into the guiding grooves so that the pins make contact with your cartridge chip - Wait for a single short red LED blip followed by a longer LED burst - Now make sure you refill your cartridge... Tip: It's better to reset before you refill your cartridge to avoid potential spills This particular unit is fully compatible with all PGI-9 cartridges with the single exception of the PGI-9 Clear cartridge which is physically incompatible with the unit guides. These units can be powered from any available USB socket, including: - The pictbridge USB port provided on the front of most Canon Pixma printers - Those on Your computer - A powered USB hub Please note: This is the only chip resetter capable of resetting all of the PGI-9 cartridge chips including the PGI-9GY and PGI-9MBK. This unit is not compatible with PGI-7 or physically compatible with PGI-9(Clear) cartridges.
