So you don’t get that niggling glare from an exposed light bulb.FITTING THE SHADE IS EASYInstallation is easy as the light shade comes packaged in a box, ready to use straight away. Simply take the shade out of the box, attach to the flex above the light bulb, suspend from the ceiling then turn it on. When installing there is no need to fit extra light fittings – The shades ‘self-grip’ around the flex. The light bulb at the end of the flex hanging from the ceiling rose is inserted through a gap in the structure of the shade and simply slots into the centre of the nearest ‘joint‘ which holds it in place. HOW ARE THEY MADE?Made in the UK by hand, each and every Smarty Lamp is fully assembled by us. Customers receive the actual lampshade itself, as pictured. A material chosen for its quality, durability and recyclability.ADVICE ON LIGHT BULBS TO USEWe recommend CFL and LED energy saving light bulbs from 8W to 11W which is equivalent to a 60 watt incandescent bulb. Use 8W candle or Corn style bulbs if the shade is small or narrow. Do not use the old style incandescent, filament bulbs, as they get too hot.
