Q: How is the arm support ?

The arm supports are substantial enough for me to push my weight up from a sitting position to a standing one using the arm rests,and they don't feel as if they are moving or straining at all.

Q: What is the depth of the seat? What is the measurement from the floor to the top of the armrest when the seat is in the highest position?

From the floor up to the top of the ARM is 28 inches. It is a great chair. Very very comfortable because the arms are slanted and not boxy up at the front of the seat, Very elegant feel in sitting and slight reclining. I sit in it for hours. I sometimes add a posture cushion in the seat just to give me a variance in my leg posture, I use a very low foot stool that does not slide, that makes everything truly comfortable,

Q: Is this comfortable enough to sit in all day? (I am a full-time student and researcher.)

I'm 5'2" and thought this would be my dream chair. I couldn't have been more wrong. The seat is brick hard, the back juts out so far it could only be ergonomic for the Hunchback of Notre Dame, and the arms can only be used/reached by a Neanderthal. I didn't find this chair comfortable for five minutes, let alone all day! The color and leather were lovely, though. :)
