First of all, I want to say that I like this belt buckle very much and find it a real hoot. It is great for anyone who likes western wear and wants a flashy, oversized belt buckle. It is also great for a cowboy costume. That said, this is indeed the real deal and is quality made. Though I don't presently have a snap belt to put this on, I have worn smaller western belt buckles before and I can tell that this thing should hold up great. It is definitely an attention grabber, and I can't wait to wear it.The only reason I detract a star is because this buckle lacks the purplish, iridescent quality suggested in the product description photos. The only colors shown in the one I received are the silver for the background with gold embellishments, including that of the St Jude figure. Looks great, and has an intentional sort of gaudiness that makes it playfully over the top. I love it. It is big, though, and can see how it could bite a bit when sitting.Also worth mentioning: at the top and bottom of the St. Jude figure there are gold banners that have smooth, "blank" spaces presumably for engraving, if one wishes to personalize this a bit.All and all this is a cool belt buckle for sure.
