This is what was missing from my toolset
This really is one of those tools that pays for itself. It sits really nicely on top of the baseboard and masks it off at least as well as tape does. 40 inches is the perfect length IMO since it doesn’t take up a ton of room but is still long enough to cover about 5 passes of the roller. Two or three of these would be even more efficient, covering most of the length of an average wall. There are plenty of situations where tape isn’t exactly ideal. This tool is a great alternative and it’s fast. Put it down, make a few passes, move it down and keep painting.I can see this tool having multiple uses, but to be honest it’s worth it to me just as a baseboard quick masking tool. I might be inclined to try this as a shield for spraying. It’s nice and light and it’s big. But I always have an extension attached when spraying, and this wouldn’t really work as you can’t hold it out farther than arm’s length.Don’t hesitate to pick one up (or better yet two or three) if you’re a professional painter or even if you’ve got a big paint project coming up. It’s made really well and it’s a big time saver that will pay for itself in no time.**update** works surprisingly well as a giant dustpan. i was sanding a floor and was able to get rid of all the sawdust easily with this. it sits very flush against the floor so you can broom everything into it without losing any.maybe the best spray shield i have found for interior work without an extension. nice and big and light.

Jury is out
Eliminates paint drips and spatter on baseboards. Can't use to cut in and expect a sharp line however. Paint drips on the shield come off easily. Another gizmo to drag to the job site and store??

Doesn't work
Arrived with one end bent but still didn't stop paint from bleeding through. Better of getting expensive trim brushes and taping the floor.

A valuable addition to my painting arsenal.
This is not one of those gimmicky painting products. This is a valuable tool to any painter at any level. It’s lightweight and unique shape make it very versatile. Lay it against baseboards and it eliminates having to tape to prevent roller spray and drips. Many uses as a paint shield for spraying, brushing or rolling. Invented by a painter for painters so the practicality of the product is genuine. Highly recommend the Bucket Edge…you won’t be disappointed. Comes in 40”, 20” and 6”.

Doesn't work well. More of a hassle than anything. Plus it's way over priced

Very useful tool
I am a drywall contractor in Ham Lake that does some painting. We have found the bucket tool to be very useful tool for a variety of purposes. I would say it paid for itself in the first day. I recommend it.

Overpriced paint shield.
It’s a paint shield with a bend. Way overpriced and not a logical tool for painting.
