works great but somewhat cumbersome since it is a two piece handle and the file.

Works beautifully on chipped glass. I was going to throw out a glass bowl with a big chip, it was so sharp, got this instead and I ground out that chip in seconds. Great!

I had an expensive vase with a major chip on the rim.I’m not going to say it took the chip away and now it’s invisible because that’s not true, but it smoothed the sharp edges making it much less conspicuous and left a frosted area which almost blends into the rim. I know it’s there but looks a lot better. Which is the most I could hope for. I am satisfied.Very easy to use but I suggest making sure that the area you’re smoothing and the tool are wet at all times. I read somewhere here about oiling it which I tried and all it made was a gummy mess, water was the answer.

Useful tool for smoothing out small defects in glassware. I've used it on Pyrex baking dishes that have chipped over time. Rather than recycling them and spending on new ones, this tool removes the sharp edges. I tried this tool for some chipped drinking glasses but realized this tool was not really able to give a smooth edge. For glasses, I'd need to use another method to make the edge really shiny smooth and this tool is not made to for that job.

The tool worked to make the chip nice and smooth, however, I ended up making the hole bigger 😩. Not my intention. Now I know for next time to only do ir barely on the bottom. The sides of the chip is where the most work was needed not the bottom. I did use running water while I worked on the chip. At least I know no one will cut their lips on the wine glass.

It worked, but the round file did not stay in the tube, making it harder to file my glass mugs.

I was gifted a set of beautiful set of stemed glasses. However, one had small chips on the rim. After this file arrived, I tackled the job of smoothing out the chips. This tool works like a charm. Very satisfied.

A couple of my favorite water glasses have developed sharp little chips on the lip. A few brief moments with this specialized file, the chips are still there...but they are no longer sharp. Nice!
