The TomTom mount supplied lost its 'suck' after 6 months and dropped off increasingly frequently and dangerously. A very cheap on-line purchase gave very good initial performance but this 'dropped off' in every respect after a few months. I was tempted by the German made devices but at nearly £20 I decided to try what price suggests is a middle-of-the-road quality. It has the largest sucker of those I have used to date and feels rock solid in use. If it lasts more than another four months it is the best yet and well worth its cost. I have seen reviews that talk about it being hard to use and very difficult to set up properly or stop it flopping about. IIf the mechanisms are fully opened and closed a few times the initial stiffness is much reduced and I found that setting it up was then quite easy. It did not rely upon friction for all movements as did the other two. Instead it could be firmly clamped into the correct position. This takes a bit longer to do but it is only needed once and the reward is a good solid installation.Don't hesitate, buy it!...and if you are a lady and find the screw knobs a bit of a problem there is always somebody who will help.

I bought this mount when I changed cars and decided to use a tom tom disc to attach my tom tom to instead of the bean bag type support. I have glued a disc permanently inside a small storage box which is accessed through a flap on top of the dashboard. I attach this mount to the disc and then my tom tom Go to the mount. The tom tom then sits on top of the dashboard but under the open flap. The mount is of good quality and allows for a lot of adjustment.For me it probably would have been better if slightly longer to give more clearance but I am trying to get around this issue and have just ordered a right angled usb lead also from Amazon. All in all it does the job and I would recommend it if you intend to mount your tom tom in an unusual place or require a lot of adjustment.

Can't praise highly enough his bit of kit . Once it clamps on to the windscreen it does not budge. Holds my Tom Tom 930 firmly with no nausea causing wobble. Stays rigid when tapping in the letters, which is a great help when tom tom is already mounted on the holder. It would benefit from some instructions but you soon figure it out. Don't be scared about using some forward pressure on the little lever which clamps the holder to the windscreen.

The title speaks for itself. I do not normally leave comments on Amazon but I am so impressed with this supplier and the item that it has to be said. Arrived VERY quickly considering we are in the holiday period. The item itself is well made and sticks to the screen like a limpet. Easy to adjust and being larger than the original brings the TT nearer to the driver for ease of use. No instructions ( not that you need them ) but it took me a couple of minutes to work out the lever system. Yes this sounds stupid but some pressure needs to be applied to 'throw' the lever arm into the locking position and it is not immediately obvious how much you actually have to apply.

My Tom Tom 520 was still functioning perfectly and up to date after about 4 years but the mount got to be well beyond its sell-by and would no longer stick to my windscreen.Halfords wanted a fortune for a generic mount that squeezed into the air vent slots on the dash and the real thing, secondhand on eBay, was priced at a premium as the real thing, new from Tom Tom, is no longer available.For half Halfords price, this mount works - and basically it does exactly what I needed it to do

love it. it stays put on the windscreen no matter how many times i take it off and put it back on again. The one i got with the Tom Tom was hopeless, it used fall off when i was on the motorway and so i thought it was quite dangerous to use.

I used the simple sucker attachment that came with my Tom Tom 520 for ages and got really fed up with it falling off the windscreen. Then I took a trip in a friend's car who had this device. I demanded the Amazon link and bought it within minutes. It's rock solid on the windscreen, yet easy to remove, thanks to the lever mechanism. Pan and tilt adjustments are easy to lock off. There's no ball joint so, if you're fussy about the Tom Tom being absolutely horizontal you might have to fiddle a bit before you finally attach it to the windscreen to get it exactly as you want. In all, thoroughly recommended - I wish I'd had it a long time ago.

To me worth every penny, If someone out there works for TomTom, buy one then put it in the suggestion box, you will come out a winner, I also received it within a couple of days, Buy It.
