Great shakers. Just realize the colors denote differences in volume
These are great shakers either able to be played together or solo if you remove the rubber bands.Just take note that the various colors correlate with volume levels. I got the blue ones simply because I thought they looked neat, but it turns out that I got the "Medium" volume ones.Black - SoftBlue/Turquoise - MediumRed/Orange - LoudBecause I got these for use in the studio, I probably would have opted for the Black set knowing what I know now. The mediums sound great but they are quite bright so I'll need to cut the gain on mics when recording.Anyway, LP is a known reliable brand and these are good shakers.

Sound Kind if Cheap. Thin Plastic?
Was missing one of the rubber bands holding together so returned, but also sounded pretty trebly and tinny.. not what I was looking for at the moment but maybe others are

Good, but...
Too expensive

Great addition. Completed my set!
I am a percussionist. I have been using the LP Soft Shake for almost ten years. It is my go to shaker and I rarely use any other. However, I recently bought the Medium Shake and Loud Shake. They add so much more dimension when coupled with my Soft Shake for sets. The Medium and Loud Shakers add some cut and grit to my sound. Many times I use these shakers in place of a hi hat "chick." This Medium Shake does a great job for that. I love this shaker. If you can get all three and hear the difference, you will be glad you have them all. They really open the door to give you so many more texture options for your sound.

Nice...but a construction quality issue with one
Sounds good and easy to hold. Can have the two together with the bands on or take the band off and separate them to have two shakers (one in each hand for example). Loss of stars due to the end cap coming off and releasing beads all over the place. Luckily not all of them. I had to duct tape the end of the shaker back on.... This happened the very first time it was used and was not used abusively in any way.

Crisp perfect sound
You can't go wrong with LP percussion instruments! Shakers produce a great crisp sound whether live or recorded. Easy to hold and worth the investment.

Shake things up
-1 star because I was expecting a teal/jade color, they're gray, minor detail. A louder, shrill (though not cacophonous) high pitched timbre than anticipated. I will try LP's again to find the ideal shake
