Essential Oils Desk Reference 7th Edition

I ordered this book after seeing an impressive, but smaller, lesser version (Pocket Reference) by the same publisher (Life Science Publishing). For the price difference, I expected a larger book with a sizeable increase in information. I received the shipment during a hectic relocation (aren't they all, with boxes everywhere!) and put it aside for several days. I was unprepared for what I found upon opening the package. The spiral-bound volume is HUGE and is every bit a complete reference book on essential oils. It is well laid out, with a great section on the history and development of oils (some I've never heard of) and all the ways they can be used. The books I've seen in the health food stores and book stores on this subject cannot compare. Unfortunately, the particular book I received is missing several pages of the wonderful index. The last page of the book I received is 618. Since it is well past the Amazon return-by-date, I hope Life Science Publishing can remedy that by Christmas Eve, as it is to be a gift under the tree. I just received the Essential Oils Desk Reference (EODR), and I am in love! For anyone who’s on the fence, here are some things I didn’t know about this book: -The quality is top notch. It looks like a college textbook. It’s spiral-bound, has a sturdy hardcover, and magazine quality pages. -There are reference sections on personal care products, animal care, and supplements. -Some of the charts and information are the same as the Essential Oils Pocket Reference (EOPR). However, the larger print in the EODR is definitely easier on the eyes. Now that I have both, I feel like they are both essential. I love the ease of use of the EOPR for quickly referencing things (plus it’s the perfect size for taking to classes), but the EODR is going to be great for going in-depth.

A wealth of knowledge for anyone who is interested in using Young Living oils and products. The information on general essential oils (not blends) would be beneficial in any brand, and there is a lot of information on different ailments and recommendations for treatment with essential oils. If you're not using the Young Living line, just beware the information is geared towards the brand. :)

This book is amazing and exactly what every Young Living Essential Oil Distributor needs, Even if you aren't a Distributor and just love using Young Living oils, This book will come in so handy. It has so much useful information on the oils to use for everything that you can think of even pets. Trust me, There's an oil for that!

I really like this book. There is a lot of information in it. I wish, though, that it was better arranged. There are some areas that I won't use at all. The part I use the most is towards the back and it's not really defined on each page. I wish there were more of the section on what the oils do, what kind of blends you can make for the different things you want or need. However, it is still a very good book.

Great book for Essential Oils beginner. Explains each oil, what they can blend with, other names for the oil, and the benefits of the oil. A requirement for anyone wanting to get into essential oil usage.

Looking forward to delving into this book and learning more about essential oils! Book was in great shape and seller shipped quickly! Will definitely buy from this seller again, in the future! Thanks!
