This is the first book I have ever pre-ordered and I have been so excited to receive it! I discovered the oxherdboy on Instagram. The images are beautiful! The words are wise, loving, compassionate and comforting! Please note that this is a book of parables and not a traditional story. I was so excited to start reading I jumped right in without even reading the title or introduction, so at first I was confused a bit at what I thought was missing parts of the story. After I finished it, I went back and read the author’s Introduction, which was really beautiful and helps to explain what you are getting ready to experience on the journey of the trio.This is just really beautiful work and you can feel the love behind the art and words because these were the way she was answering the tough questions about life to her young son. You feel the warmth of a mother’s love from this book and for that I would love to thank the author, Regina Linke! I will be buying copies for my friends.

This has to be one of the most beautiful books I have ever read. This is by Regina Linke - Regina is not only a beautifully and incredibly talented artist; her compassionate, wise words move me to tears. I'd recommend this book to anyone.

I received my two copies today to present to my grandkids. The book surpasses all my expectations. The exquisite illustrations by the very talented artist/author are coupled with words of wisdom that can inspire, comfort, and/or enable one just simply to ponder the mysteries of life. I wholeheartedly recommend this fine book to anyone, especially anyone with children, who is looking for something both beautiful and unique.
