Great Sleep Mask, but you'll Look like The Tick (1 YEAR REVIEW)
I purchased this product just over a year ago so I feel it's time to give the mask a review based on using it for a while. I am a very light sleeper and I've tried several different sleep masks, all with their own set of problems. The EMPO mask is by far the best one I have found for blacking out light. As some other users have mentioned, some light does seep through the bottom (even if you don't have a particularly large nose). Normally when this happens I use the adjustable part on the back to tighten it and that resolves the issue (until it loosens again, which happens naturally if you move around a lot when you sleep as I do).Aside from that relatively small issue, the mask itself is extremely comfortable to wear: it doesn't get caught in my long hair, the material seems to breathe so I don't feel sweaty even with something pressed against my face all night and it's light enough you barely notice it's there, especially as the cups for your eyes are deep enough that even with long eyelashes you won't touch the material even if you open your eyes fully. This is a blessing as many sleep masks put pressure on your eyes - I've never woken up with sore eyes with this mask, even if I wear it very tight. It's extremely light and travel-friendly and seems to form back into shape even if it's been sat on or the like. The foam inside is comfortable and contours to your face.Having used the mask for a year, I have noticed that near the nose some of the material has started to pull away from the foam. That being said, there is a lifetime warranty card included (though I have not attempted to use the warranty myself) so that should offer you peace of mind, especially given the very reasonable price of the mask. The earplugs were very much take-or-leave for me, I prefer the ones rated to very noisy environments, but I kept the carrying case as it's great for travel.Overall, if you're sensitive to light while you sleep, I definitely recommend this sleep mask. It is by far the best one I have tried, even if there's no way to look cool while you wear it. ;)

great for blocking light and restricting breathing through nose :( .....
I'm a light sleeper when it comes to light coming into my room, so i decide to invest in this eye mask after misplacing my old one.I bought it based on the reviews i saw and i like the fact that it molded to your nose, i have a had a similar eye mask by the brand daydreamer that stops the light coming through the gap in your mask that your nose creates, by putting small amounts of a foamy material ad it worked perfectly, instead of going with my tried and tested i thought id give this mask a punt.Great at keeping the light out, but the nose light blocker is so tight that it made me breathe funny, and kinda crushed he bridge of my nose a bit.I ended up having to cut the nose bit off!!i would not by this gain unless i had a nose job..i think its a reasonable price and the normal light blocking capabilities are fine, but unfortunately it also blocks my ability to breathe through my nose.updated on 11/04/18EMPO actually got in contact with me about my experience with they're product, apologized and gave me a full refund, for that, I have upped they're rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.I still stand by my opinion, but based on they're customer service i have to admit i am impressed.

One Of The Best So Far!
I am quite fond of this eye mask. I love the texture of it. It's sturdy but soft. Not floppy at all. Kind of like a good quality, silky foam. This has been great to use on flights, at home and even at work. I'm able to open my eyes behind it for the most part. My only 2 problems with this mask is that I have found my eyelashes sometimes rub against the patches over one of the eyes - I have extremely short lashes. I have also found that light enters in under the mask near the nose area on the same eye where my lashes rub. I think there is a connection between those two issues. On a positive note, the mask doesn't press too much on the nose/sinus area - which is a relief if you deal with sinus-related conditions. That being said, this is definitely the best eye mask I have owned thus far and I would recommend it.

The best sleep mask I've tried.
I saw this product while browsing for a new mask. I am a very light sleeper, and need a mask during the summer months when the sun rises early.I have tried many masks. After using this one for a couple of weeks, I can safely say that this is the best. Why?1) the concave shape means that the mask does not press on my eyes. Some masks have caused me discomfort in this regard.2) it has two straps which are quite small, so I cannot feel them between my head and the pillow.3) both straps are adjustable so that they are neither too tight nor too loose, and because they can be positioned differently, they hold the mask firmly in place.4) the mask is a very comfortable fit overall.5) the price. As other reviewers have mentioned, it does allow a little light in where it sits over my nose, but I haven't had any mask that completely blocks out the light. Most of the masks I've had have needed replacement once the elastic in the strap becomes worn. It remains to be seen how long it will last on this mask, but I don't see why it should wear any quicker than on other types. One thing that concerned me before buying this mask was the price. It seemed too cheap! Others that I have bought have been considerably more expensive, but I'm glad that I tried it.I don't use ear plugs frequently, so the inclusion of a free pair didn't sway my decision to purchase. However, when I tried them, they seemed of a similar quality to the ones I buy in Boots. All in all, well worth the money.
