My youngest daughter (13) has been interested in journaling/art-journaling with me so I got her one of these for Christmas & she absolutely loves it!! It’s a great way to get kids involved with creating & designing their own journals. There are so many different things included to decorate with & once she got started her creative mind just exploded with ideas! She’s more into the art-journaling aspect, so she can draw & decorate however she wants, but she can still leave herself room to write if she wants. The possibilities for her journal are endless! We can now spend time journaling together & sharing our ideas & finished art work. She is loving it!! (As am I!!) I only wish I had gotten it sooner so we could have been doing this longer. I’ve wanted to get into diy bujos or just some sort of planner but I just haven’t done it yet. She has pages to start her own planners so we may just start on that soon!This kit comes with sooo much! (200+ pcs) It provides two notebooks to get started with; flash tapes; stickers & embellishments; bookmarks & even a few pens. Any kid can do a lot with the supplies given in the kit, and also start making their own as they go along.It’s a great kit to get kids in their creative mindset & they’ll have something to show for it when they’re done. It can also help teach them to take time to reflect on their day & draw or write down things that happened, how they feel & even goals they’ve set for themselves. It’s a great way for them to spend some time just being creative & spending time for themselves, instead of watching tv, playing video games or on a phone, etc. Journaling is a great habit to have, and it’s so much fun when you can look back at the things you’ve made & remember the stuff going on in your life back then.I highly recommend journal kits for any kid! This one comes with so much & for the price- you really can’t go wrong! It’s great!!

I appreciate the fact that the kit comes in a pretty box and can be gifted as is, but it can also be easily gift-wrapped. I like the design of the notebooks (some other kits have very boring covers), but the paper is really thin. The glitter pens work fine, the glue is not very strong, and the washi is sticky enough. There is a very nice variety of papers, stickers, and frames. Overall, it is a nice kit for children. I probably wouldn't give it to a 4-year-old, though, since it has glue, but would work great for children over 6.You could probably make a basket using similar items from the dollar store and it would cost a lot less, but this is more convenient and it already comes packed in a box, so that's what you pay for.

Our daughter 8-year-old daughter is all about drawing and writing and I wanted her to have another outlet vs. just blasting through a million loose-leaf pages or spiral notebooks. At first, she wasn't too sure about the idea of journaling or scrapbooking but once she went through the set, the stickers, and the pens and showed her that this was a place she could do *whatever*, she was all about it! She now calls these notebooks her "Bored Books" (lol) and has fully embraced "doodling". She is obsessed with the idea that she can just go wild and loves all the little cutouts, and the tape. She is excited about the little little designer paper pages and the to-do lists.This is a great started selection! The pens have worked fantastic thus far, and it's just enough stuff to have a taste. I highly recommend this for any adult or child with even a hint of creativity or who is prone to boredom.

If you are looking for a gift for twins or siblings, look no further! The double journal is perfect for two. Enough supplies so everyone can get decor and a great test on sharing. After the fun of decorating they have their very own journal to enjoy. A great gift!
