Q: Will this be good for exterminating American roaches (huge 3-inch buggers)?

This will not kill the roaches but it will 100% stop them from reproducing and having babies. I used combat roach killer houses and the gel along with Gentrol and it got rid of a 5 year infestation in 6 months, within 3 months I barely even saw any roaches.

Q: Are these safe to use in a home with pets?

I would say use with caution and apply in areas where pets can’t reach like behind oven/fridge. It states hazardous to humans and domestic animals.
