I've had a recent heel problem that resulted in a large hole in my heel due to a lack of blood. The hole has now healed and as a precaution had a heal pad that gave it added protection.

Not worth it
Effective for maybe half a dozen wears, but the gel has shifted and bunched up so it's all in a tiny patch at the back of the heel.
