This Book is Needed
Personal development and self-help books are notorious for being repetitive and often trite. I have read many and this one is different. I am not a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints, yet, reading this book and doing the wonderful exercises in it made me feel incredibly close to God.The quotes and stories leap off the page and into your imagination. I am certain that if you read this book attentively and answer the questions honestly, you will find insight if not to your calling then into a better way of life.I cannot recommend this book enough. Get it for yourself and get it for your young adult children. It's sorely needed in our modern world. You'll learn that calling is not only your work but an entire way of life.*Disclaimer: I am a college student and have met one of the authors. Either way, I would still recommend this book!

A Very Enlightening Read
This book was the exact boost that I needed. Honestly, I feel like I've sat down in an interview with the authors, and that their insight is written towards me. Throughout reading this, I've had some answers to prayers and felt some relief as they have shared the same anxieties and worries that I've had over the past few years. This book is great for high school and college students and beyond, as they try to figure out what the their passions are and what they want to do in life. It's great for anyone at any stages in a career, anyone beginning retirement, and great for stay at home moms, like myself. It's a great resource for the "What's next?" stages in life that we feel from time to time. The exercises at the end of the chapters are thought provoking and helpful as you try to figure out your calling in life. I really enjoyed this book and as my kids get older I will encourage them to read this as they prepare to leave home.

Direction and intentional help from more than just “thought leaders”
I have been in an internal struggle the past five years knowing I needed to go back to school but having big red flags about every major. Being a stay-at-home mom of a busy brood is my first priority so spending time and money to just explore my options wasn’t a choice I could make. When I was ready to throw in the towel, in popped this book. I’m not even entirely sure how I heard about it but it is just the balance between spiritual, intellectual, and research (Oh, how I love a book with research) that has opened doors to understanding me and what direction would be most purposeful. For the first time in many years I am not paralyzed by the choices in front of me. I am busily applying to programs and excited about what the future holds. Thank you for writing this. If even just for me.

I wish I'd written this book
I love the topic of helping people discover their life's work or calling--it's actually my calling to do so, to help people discover what they're born to do and be. The Zookeeper's Secret is the book on this topic for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that I wish I'd written. You don't have to be LDS to gain a great deal from this book; some of the examples and scriptures won't make sense to you though if you aren't. I love this book and highly recommend to everyone, because we all need to be clear on why we're here specifically, and this work will help you find your answer.

Simply Excellent
This book wasn't what I was expecting. It was better. It's an easy read, but a deep one. The authors seamlessly blend faith, personal experience, and scholarly research to create a book designed to help people find and enjoy fulfillment in their life's work. The book is for everyone: academics; lay people; those with long careers; those with short careers; those who enjoy their current work; and those who don't. I would recommend this book to any person struggling to find fulfillment in their chosen careers, and especially to persons of faith. On a personal note, I found chapter three particularly meaningful, almost as though the authors had written it specifically for me in my current situation.

Choices....
This is Bob (we have a joint account on Amazon). I have read this book and have found it to be very insightful and engaging. I’ve taken a new look on how I approach my calling in my life as it relates to my career and have used it in various occasions with other team members that I have met with lately. I virtually never reread the same book just after finishing a book read, but this is one exception. I look forward to gaining even more insight the second time. Great job Stuart and Jeff. You guys are right on target!
