The Velcro on the rod straps suck. They don't stick making this product worthless for me

I was looking for a strap to carry aluminum beach chairs. This item looked exactly what would do the job. When I received the item and tried it out, was very disappointed. The 2 short straps are intended to go around what you wish to carry and then the carry strap is to be hooked to each and on you go. The trouble is that these short straps have one side of a Velcro system but not the other side. They would not securely attach themselves anywhere along the strap well enough to carry these chairs, which are aluminum and not very heavy. Tried multiple times and they would break apart. 90% of this product was well designed except part B of the Velcro area, the fussy part for the loops to hook into.

This could of been a great product had they put more velcro on there. The current Velcro is a 1/2” square which does not provide enough strength to hold a rod and reel. After attaching the straps, I slung the the strap over my shoulder and my rod and reel went crashing to the floor. Luckily I was at home on a carpeted floor. I would rate this a zero stars if I could.

The spot I fished was about a mile in, this really helped as I usually have my backpack, fishing gear bag, then my rods in hand. With this, I slung the strap crossbody on my back and had the rods in front of my body horizontal. It worked great

So convenient to carry 2 rods. I have a backpack and strap the rods in the front to allow my hands to be free. The neoprene straps will tear with heavier weights so I had to reinforce it or change it other Velcro straps.

Great product that does exactly what you expect. I have been using the straps to carry four poles and have experienced no issues with the product, as it has reduced the strain from carrying many items when bringing children fishing. My only complaint is that the velcro straps are a little long and take a while to secure, that will likely be resolved when I try to carry more poles.

The Velcro straps are large enough to go around 2 fishing rods and a tiki torch holder which I always take for night fishing. Makes carrying things to bank a breeze.

Edit: the neoprene straps started to fall apart after about 2 months (6 trips). I don’t think it’s due to low quality, since the neoprene straps from another brand started doing the same thing. Just a heads up to buyers.This product works very well. The velcro is strong, the straps are elastic and strong and the neoprene prevent the rods from slipping out. It can hold up to 5 thick conventional rods (I tried with Seeker BSG, Daiwa Proteus, Calstar GF, Shimano Tallus).
