Hot Pads Pack of 2 Trivets (8 Inch)

I am making a floor stand for a guitar.

I wanted a 6" trivet that wouldn't take up much more room than my pour-over coffee maker. What I received was a gigantic 12" trivet with a label marking it as 6". I realize that we're backwards in continuing to use the SAE system here in the US, but a 200% size discrepancy is a bit much.

Just what I was looking for ... and better! I like to have cork trivets for my Chemex and carafe and my old ones were definitely ready to be replaced. In looking for new ones, I was shocked at how expensive cork products are now but was very happy to find quality here at a good price. They are nice and thick, they stay put and they protect the glass Chemex pot on my granite counter top perfectly. These cork trivets are also useful for hot pans and dishes, etc, and blend in well with the neutral colors in my kitchen.

The trivets are sturdy and do what they are designed to do. I do wish they were a bit deeper color as the light cork color shows dirt very quickly and the stains are not removable.

These met my needs, but actually not using them as trivets. Needed them for a craft project.

I love these, they are very thick. I really only needed one - I set a Himalayan salt lamp on one. That's because I discovered that the salt does absorb some moisture and drips downwards onto the base of the lamp. I was afraid it might actually drip on my table and damage my table. These trivets are the perfect size to protect my table.

These are nice and affordable. Not sure how long they will hold up. For the price they're good.

Prior to purchasing these I had gotten a 6-pack of cork pads for putting underneath potted house plants. The 6 pack was a lot less expensive....but so thin and flimsy! Definitely worth a few extra bucks to get these nice durable cork circles. They would definitely make perfect trivets, but they also look really lovely underneath my planters.
