When the kit came and I opened it, I thought “This looks fun!” I’m excited to start cross-stitching some of the puppies!As you can see from the photo, the kit comes with everything you need. There are 10 individual canvases with pre-printed images of 10 different puppies. There are five black canvases and five white ones.The kit also includes paper instructions, least five needles, a threader tool, five plastic embroidery hoops, attachments for the hoops (i.e., four or five keyrings and three or four metal clips for attaching one of the completed hoops to a backpack), etc. Lastly, there’s a bag of at least 15 skeins of embroidery floss. I anticipate that this will be plenty of floss to work all the puppies, with a large amount left over for other projects.I think a grouping of the completed puppies would also be very cute framed in small square frames (the size of the canvases), and hung on the wall of a child’s room.Be aware that the edges of the canvasses may be hard and scratchy. I think this is a common issue with cross-stitch canvas. What I’ve done in the past to prevent thread from catching and pulling or ripping on the sharp edges is to cover the edges with a thin strip of masking tape. If the tape isn’t left on the canvas a long time (months), it will come off without leaving residue (and especially blue painter’s masking tape which is formulated to be less sticky).I recommend this product!

I got this for my 8 year old daughter, as she is very crafty and likes to try new things. This kit is fantastic! She knew nothing of cross stitch, and after a few basic instructions (and me trying to remember how to do it from 35+ years ago and showing her), she was up and running! It contains more thread than is needed , needles, patterns, and even a needle threader. It kept her busy for quite some time. If your kid likes crafts, this is a great option for them to try out at a nice price point.

I got this as a starter and learning kit. You receive 3 white and 2 black small hoops, 4 needles and needle threader, 5 keychains, 18 embroidery threads, 10 cross stitch canvas (5 white and 5 black) with different dog patterns and color grids for cross stitch and instructions. The hoops hold fabric taught with screw tight top. Very simple, easy and quick craft with each design being very small. This is great for the beginner.

I have done cross stitch since I was a kid - but my kiddo was never very interested. I snagged this kit to see if it might convince him (everyone loves a puppo!) and it worked! Honestly though - the best part is having the image printed ON the cloth. It's dead simple and even younger kids grok it really well.This is a great starter kit - or even like a holiday "help entertain the kiddos" activity!The thread is decent quality and it comes with everything you need.

Nice pattern, but the threads are too thick, hence almost impossible for starters to get the thick thread through the tiny hole. I tried to separate the thread but not successful. The pattern is also too small.

I got this kit to see if it would be a useful tool for all the kids in my life, and I have to say that I am very impressed! It comes with everything you need to make 5 pieces, and 5 more designs that you could do to! The designs have a special paint that comes off in water so that you can see only the embroidery that was done! I cannot wait to do this with the kiddos!

These cross stitch patterns are easy to follow and everything is included that you need. Very cute!

Not a super perfect beginner's kit because I think the instructions are kind of basic, but it's got everything you need and it looks like there's enough yarn for some leeway with making mistakes.

Great fun to do

Brought these as I wanted to teach my LO. However when they arrived the actual pattern is tiny for a beginner. My daughter found it difficult to follow the pattern due to this. Would not recommend for a child learning. Feel like I wasted my money.
