Caustic Pencil Veterinary

Have not had to you it but after paying £82 for a vet to use it after making a nail clipping mistake I thought I’d have for emergency

I did a course in animal first aid at college a few years ago and a caustic pencil was mentioned then. I've spent a lot of time searching for one since then, until I found this one. Comes with basic instructions and is easy to use.Although I think it should be stressed more clearly that you should take care not to get it on yourself. I used it on a small cut on my rats ear and he shook his head violently to stop me playing with his ear. This caused a very small amount to splash onto my face so it look like a I had tiny brown sposts on one side of my face for a couple of weeks. Although it is gone now and it has not caused any scaring.

Very flimsy snapped straight away. Woke up today with black hands and face with no way of being able to get it off. Did stop my dogs nail from bleeding again though

my parrot bit the end off of the pencil, I had used it before and was really pleased at how bleeding stopped when touched by this product, may I just add that the parrot that bled has a cross over beak and I just took a little of the beak off, obviously just a little too much enough for the beak to bleed, the bird in question is very much alive, well and better for the beak being clipped

As described. I have used these before so I know they are very good. Every dog owner should have one in a drawer as part of their pet first aid kit. The pencil is very easy to use and does stop the bleeding when you accidentally clip a wriggling dogs nail a little too much.

just what i need - I hadn't got one when I cut my dogs claw too short, resulting in blood every where and no way to stop it. Hopefully there won't be a next time, but if there is the pencil will be very useful.Sellers service - great, no issues arrived when they said it would, not as quick as amazon is usually

Easy to use and does the job.

We only use these occasionally - but when you need one you need one! This is a good product that works as described and has detailed instructions for the first time user.Recommended.
