Work well
Works just as well as petroleum based chain oils in my Stihl 038 AV Super2 and Echo CS-400. Worth paying a little extra to not be spraying toxic crap around my farm.

Biodegradable and works just like regular old school bar oil
No one should be spraying non-biodegradeable oil on the ground these days with this safe alternative that works just as well. I Fell, buck up and split 4+ cords of big red oak every year and this works great in my two saws. Canola oil works ok too for light and moderate work but don't leave it in your saw if it is going to be unused for a few months.

Safety
In these days with children being around and water being polluted, it's nice to have a oil that will kill neither

chintzy cap in the 1 gallon jug.
I suspect the oil quality is probably superior as are most DeWalt products but the 1 gallon jug has a chintzy cap that could not be tightened without jumping the threads. I cut down a washer from another product's lid and added it to the the DeWalt lid which seems to work ok for a temporary fix, until I can find a better quality lid. This oil is too expensive to lose it due to a faulty lid.

Good for your saw and the environment.
Last month while cutting firewood I noticed bar oil had sprayed all over the ground. As an environmental biologist I thought to myself "I wouldn't dump used motor oil on the ground. Why is it ok to spray bar oil everywhere?". I read a number of logging forums looking for an alternative and found biodegradable received positive reviews in general so I figured I would give it a shot.I've used a little under a gallon and I can't tell a difference between this stuff and the Stihl Premium and Oregon bar oils I had been using. I haven't noticed any abnormal wear on the bar and consumption is on par with other products I've used. It's priced slightly higher than the Oregon bar oil I normally use but considerably less than Stihl Premium.Take a moment to consider how much bar oil you use and ask yourself if you would be ok with someone dumping that much used motor oil or transmission fluid on your ground. For me, the slightly higher price is worth it to know I'm not polluting the same areas where I watch deer, black bear, raccoons, skunks, and fox forage for food!

Missing cap
The oil jug did not have a cap on, fortunately, the foil seal was still on and kept the oil runnung out.
