Mini Optical/Toslink Female Jack Plug To Toslink Male SPDIF Adapter Connector

I’m amazed by how many people seemed to think they could use this to plug their metal headphone type 3.5mm connector into an optical audio port. This adapter is for going from a regular OPTICAL Toslink connecting to a Mini Toslink OPTICAL connection. You still need an optical cable to get audio to your device. THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH A METAL 3.5mm AUDIO HEADPHONE-TYPE CONNECTOR. In order to go from optical to a metal 3.5mm headphone type connector you need a digital to analog converter and this is not it.That all said, for the purpose of going from Toslink to Mini-Toslink this does its job perfectly. It seems to hold in firmly but not so tight as to have trouble pulling it out. Audio is perfect, no problems at all.

It does exactly what it's supposed to do. This is not a digital/analog converter. It's simply a shape adapter for optical TOSLINK and it does exactly that. For my use case, I happen to have a cable with mini TOSLINK on one end and regular size TOSLINK on the other. I would like to use the cable to connect two devices with regular size TOSLINK jacks, and this adapter is exactly what I need.

Just works. SQ quality stellar but could not A/B test. Used to connect an Auralic Aries network renderer to a Chord Mojo DAC. Sound was far clearer than via USB audio from laptop. That’s because of the streamer off course, but the cable and this attachment didn’t get in the way

Didn’t work because I needed an additional digital to analogue converter.

WARNING This product is a hoax. It is physically impossible to have this kind of adapter, this type of connection requires a conversion from analog to digital. Buy a converter instead.

Did not work. I plugged it into my tv and tried it. You need a digital converter for this to work.

Does not do anything, does not transfer sound!
