I bought a pair of these lamps, because our other ones were getting very well worn after 54 years of marriage. You need to find at the appropriate bulbs which are on sale on this website, it's a little bit difficult switching off and on because the switch is down on the power cable, but for all that they are sturdy and do their job well

NOT touch lamps
A bit pricey considering another well known retailer beginning with the letter 'A' has something similar on sale for £6.75 each at the moment. The (black) lead is only around four feet long which makes them ideal for a bedside table - if you're planning to put them on anything higher such as a tall bookcase or cabinet (as I've done), you will need to extend the leads using cable connectors and another bit of lead to reach your wall socket.The details section states 'switch style - touch' which is confusing. These are NOT touch lamps and are switched on by a rocker switch further down the cable. The details section also states 'included components - bulb' which is also confusing - no bulbs were supplied with mine.On the positive side, they work and do the job they're intended for and hopefully will last as long as the touch lamps they've replaced.
