Essex Electronics EEPEUGKEY Replacement 2 Button Key Fob Case Black

This casing was to replace the case on my Peugeot key fob as the buttons had collapsed in leaving holes. The new casing does hold all the necessary bits from inside but the moulding isn't perfect and when I tried to use the original key blade from my key it was a struggle to make it fit the slot of the new case. A 'spare' blade was sent with the item but it doesn't work on my car so is a bit redundant and I have to use the old blade. Due to me having to use the old blade the new case doesn't completely meet up and snap together all the way round the outside and this means the lock/unlock buttons often don't properly make contact with the small rubber dots inside that make the remote work. When I first replaced the case it didn't work at all so effectively what I had was just a new case to protect the parts inside, but it is starting to work more often now, maybe because the case is 'settling'. It is definitely a tiny bit smaller than the original case, but it appears to be from a Valeo brand mould and looks good quality. I found I had to do quite a lot of scraping away of excess plastic with a small screwdriver before it would all fit together though. Not too bad for a few quid, and better buying in UK than shipping all the way from China.

unfortunately for some reason once assembled the key as a unit would not start the car even though it worked the remote locking system . I was using the same "innards" from my existing key so am puzzled . The fob looks exactly the same as the cars original key when open

This item came from France and was quite quick in arriving.My Peugeot 206 is an older model and I need to pass on a tip to other customers who may be thinking of replacing their key casing.The only part of this replacement that you need is the back. I made the mistake of using pressure to make a perfect fit, this resulted in the open button being permanently in contact with the battery which only lasted a few weeks. I then replaced the battery, only used hand pressure to cllck the front to the back, which leaves one side not completely fitting, but I could hear the on/off switches clicking when I pressed them, which meant that they were not connected to the battery. Hope this helps others who may give up, this bit of kit has saved me a lot of money and the only reason I give it 4 star is that it did not give me enough info

Straight swop. Moved all my bits to this shell including my key end. And have had no issues what so ever. Was sceptical when I baught it due to the negative comments written about these, but glad I baught it

This came exactly as shown complete with chrome logo.The buttons work perfectly.A straight swop from damaged fob,but do not handle the circuit board with bare fingers when moving it,use disposable gloves or finger cotts as it can be affected by static electricity from your skin.

Exactly as pictured and described, comes with the silver lion logo inside the casing so open it up to take it out and push-fit it into place. No instructions supplied but easy to work out what to do. When replacing your existing key casing, dont forget to take out the little black immobilise CHIP from inside your old casing and put it inside the new casing! If you forget, your car will not start with the new key!

This is the second review I'm leaving for this key, I deleted my first one (negative one). long story short.. i got sent an unbranded fob/key shell and i was annoyed at the fact that the seller didn't contact me to let me know he ran out of the branded shell with the badge. so he sent me an unbranded one instead. after contacting the seller, problem was quickly resolved as he sent me what i paid for.key does feel a little plasticy but considering the price it's ok. My old blade and circuit board fits in snug, and lets not forget the transponder too. tested the key, doors lock and unlock on demand and car starts. so thats good enough for me.

Hard plastic keys,better than the original who was soft plastic and easier to damage with your nails after a while.this new one feel more sturdy.
