It's ok
I bought this for a 12 year old girl for her Birthday. It's not for kids that want to do things fast. She seem happy about it, But when she did it she thought the pen would work faster. It's like the glue gun slow and steady wins the race. Not for hyper kids. I give a 3 because some kids get it and some will not.

Poor quality
I’m so disappointed with this pen. My 8 year old son was thrilled to get this as a gift and started using it right away. It broke within 24 hours. The metal tip broke completely off—irreparable. He was so sad! What a disappointment.

Unfortunately the instructions were difficult to follow. The pen jammed almost immediately and became unusable .
