Surprisingly wonderful
This is the first time I've gotten something like this. For some reason I just always thought they'd be uncomfortable, and being a round woman with a belly and hips, they rarely fit.But I took note of the measurements and after a few minutes' consideration, I went for it.I'm thrilled to say that this is a great robe, and I'll definitely be getting at least one more. The fabric is absorbent and *soft*, and it's a good thickness without being uncomfortable - it's not thin at all. I'll be using this mostly at home, but I would definitely take it to the beach as well as for lake or river hiking/camping. When your favourite hikes are almost always around water, you learn to bring a couple pair of socks and a change of clothes, because somehow you always get drenched at least once. This robe not only makes it possible to change clothes modestly on the fly, but it's good enough to wear on the trail in warmer weather while you dry off. You might look a little strange, but fellow river hikers will understand and probably ask where you got it. We're a friendly bunch on the trail. Also, as someone who deals with a couple of chronic medical issues, sometimes I find myself just plain exhausted after bathing and being able to just wrap my hair in a towel and throw this on right after I'm done instead of expending the energy drying off - you'd be surprised at how tiring that can be - is a life-changer. I even fell asleep in it right after my shower the other night, after a long day of work. I didnt intend to sleep in it, but it was super comfy.Anyway, I highly recommend this robe. Good quality and saves spoons when you're close to zero. I love it!

It's microfiber not as soft as cotton
This is the second poncho towel I own and this one isn't as soft and absorbent ad the cotton one. This poncho is microfiber which I don't like as much as cotton. My fingernails and any dry skin always seem to get caught on the material. I do use it after I get out of the shower and keep it on while I do my hair and make up so it does good for that it's not uncomfortable just not as comfortable as I would like. It dries fast so that's a good thing and the water doesn't weigh it down. A bit overpriced but depending on what you're looking to use it for it's a good body towel that doesn't get water logged.

A must have for a day at the water park!
You reach an age where you don't feel entirely comfortable flaunting the ole dad bod to the entire water park or beach. Or you don't want to slather on sunscreen AGAIN before you head to stand in line at the concession stand. Or it's just a little bit too breezy and now you're feelin' freezy while you're trying to eat your lunch while dodging seagulls. These cover ups are great for all that and more! The fabric itself is a soft microfiber terrycloth, and it's very very thirsty. The poncho is also very generously sized - maybe a bit much. I'm not a very tall guy (5'7") and these come way down my shin! But there's plenty of room if you're trying to change clothes and not flaunt what your mama gave ya. Modesty buttons under the arm provide for a bit more coverage, too, if you need it.All in all, I think these are a great buy!

surf poncho to the rescue
You know you look like a pro surfer when you have your own poncho! This is a must have for discreet clothes changing at the beach whether its outta your wetsuit of just your sandy bathing suit. No more awkward huddling under a beach towel hoping that you won't have a wardrobe fail while getting changed-haha. This is quite lightweight, but is long enough to provide good coverage. It's compact enough to not take up your whole gear bag, but it's there when you need it. The dark blue is nice, but might be a bit toasty if it's really hot and sunny. That said, most surf spots have relatively chilly water temperatures, so this is pretty nice to cozy up while you dry off. Does just what it is supposed to do.

Super cool looking, relaxed/easy to wear around the house
I love this robe, it has a great pocket in the front that is open on both left/right. The buttons on the side are a great option to open up and provide more room if you wish. I feel like a jedi in this thing, it's super easy to put on and slip off. The hood is great for wet hair. The cloth itself is a nice terrycloth, with great hand feel, not too heavy, or too thin. Durable appearing. NO problems after a couple of washes. I recommend this!

ok, but not a fashion statement
It works ok but isn't what I would call a fashion statement.

Very soft, great for triathletes or surfers, excellent value
I first discovered the changing poncho a few years ago and bought a few of them. I'm a triathlete and use these frequently for changing after an open water swim, after races, and after long rides. I also have a lot of athletic friends, and I've been gifting them all changing ponchos for Christmas. I ordered this specific poncho for a friend recently and was impressed by its quality, despite the low price. The color of the robe (turquoise) looks just as it appears on the picture. It's a great color! Second, the robe is super soft. The other robes I have are microfiber, but this one feels like terry cloth and is very comfortable. These robes are one size fits all, but it will fit nearly anyone. You won't make a fashion statement, but in a pinch, you could even wear one of these to a grocery store (I have done it in a pinch). I also like that it has a hood and a kangaroo pocket (nice for cold days). I know my friend will love this gift. I may have to order one of these for myself as well!
