I feel like a complete idiot for spending this amount of money on three slabs of wood. Save your money and build something with twigs for free that will probably be more sturdy than this

There isn't a lot to say about a couple pieces of wood that chickens sit and poop on. But it does the job. It is basically unfinished wood that comes in three pieces. Two ends and one bar and you have to screw the pieces together. Mine came kind of warped and therefore doesn't sit flat on the floor but that doesn't matter because it is being put in the brooder for the babies to perch on and chickens don't care what things look like. Overall I am happy with it.

My two Serama chickens use this roosting perch all day long. It's a simple product, just three pieces of wood, but they fit together well. You do have to use a power screwdriver or a drill to attach the feet to the bar, as there are no pre-drilled holes in the bar. My only gripe is that being soft, porous wood, it's not the easiest to clean. I wish someone made a hexagonal or octagon-shaped plastic perching roost.

So it's a great perch for brooding young chickens, but definitely not worth the money. If I were handy I could have made twenty of them for the same price...but sadly I'm not, so I overpaid for a perch. The hens love it and it's easy to clean, so of you're not handy enough to make one, bite the bullet and overpay for this.

It's something that would be easy for most people to make themselves. But, I wanted something already made so I spent the money for it. It worked perfectly for my baby chicks..just the right size for the brooder. A great beginner roost for the babies. Only 2, maybe 3 full grown hens could fit on it.

Does what its suppose to do but over priced.

I wasted my money on this. It's well made, but not worth the price. The chicks didn't even roost on it.

My chicken loves it.
