This 12v neon sign is very bright and suitable for both bright and less-bright interior uses. Despite the photographs, this sign is not rated for moisture in outdoors locations.The sign comes in 2 parts which connect together with an included cable. You can hang each part independently to fit any prescribed space. The field of light in the tubing is even throughout, making it crisp and clean. The sign comes with an inline dimmer and on/off switch.••••••••••••••••••••I have amassed a considerable collection of LED neon signs from Amazon. Some things I have learned:

- LED neons come in 5v and 12v varieties. The 12v version almost always comes with a power supply that plugs into a wall socket. The 5v versions almost never do. They come equipped with a USB-A plug. If you want to plug them into the wall, you will need to buy a small standard 5v charging block to deliver the correct voltage. These charging blocks are the type used to charge some cell phones. ANY charging block that will self-register at 5v and is rated for whatever wattage the neon requires) will work (generally 2-3 watts.) They are inexpensive.
- Some 5v LED neon comes with a battery chamber in the line prior to the USB plug. Most of those battery packs take 3 AAA batteries. My experience has been that many of the neon equipped with battery packs chew through those batteries in a day or two, despite the relatively low wattage.

- If you have the neon powered through the battery pack and then plug it into a USB port, you are going to fry the batteries, and very possibly the neon, and perhaps even the computer or power pack. If you are going to use the battery pack consistently, tape off the USB plug so someone doesn’t accidentally use it.

- The LEDs almost always come encased in a clear rubberized plastic tubing that does a decent job of holding up to gentle abuse. That tubing also helps to disperse the light more evenly.

- You generally get what you pay for with LED neon. If you pay $10 for a decorative pice of neon, the LEDs will probably be relatively dim and the spacing of the diodes will be insufficient to provide a steady stream of light. When in doubt, read the reviews.
- LED chips come in dimmable and non-dimmable versions. If you put a non-dimmable version on a dimmer, it won’t dim, and it may harm the neon. If you buy an LED neon sign without a dimmer included (and that does not advertise that it’s dimmable), it is most likely not dimmable. 

- The newest types of LED diodes are brighter than the versions of a few years ago by a factor of 2 or 3 (and with less energy requirements.) The diodes are placed more closely together on a heat sink, allowing them to be brighter and more efficient, with a very wide angle of light dispersion and less prone to burning out.

- I wouldn’t recommend buying a non-dimmable LED neon, unless you are sure that constant brightness won’t be a problem. Neon that is not overly bright during the day, often needs dimming at night. With prices coming down quickly for the newer (brighter, dimmable) neon chips, it could be a waste of money to buy a non-dimmable LED neon.- Unless an LED neon sign specifically advertises that it’s for outdoor use, it’s not.

- Most pieces of LED neon come mounted to a clear plastic substrate. There is often a protective film on the backside (and sometimes the front side of the substrate that should be removed before use. If you have to remove the film from the front of the light (where the tubing sits), be very careful not to pull out any wires.

I like the size, it was big enough without being overwhelming. The lit part looks remarkably like a neon sign, but stays cool and uses low power and is not dangerous glass. I have this as part of my hope chest for when I (hope) to be asked.

Loved the sign. Was very bright. Would recommend.I put it on a board, that worked better for me.

We chose this light for a daughter's bridal party that will be coming up. The light is bright and aesthetically pleasing, offering the option to adjust brightness with three different settings. Additionally, this light supports home automation functionality. When the power is removed, it retains its last setting and will turn back on when power is restored without the need to press the in-line 'On' button.

Very nice neon LED sign. It has a nice look and is easy to operate. The dimmer switch is nice so you can adjust the brightness level for photos (when it's super bright, it gets washed out), and it's easy to install. Very pleased with this sign.

This neon sign is absolutely exquisite and beautiful, it would be a bonus to any marriage bedroom, and it screams out "Romance!" The sign is brilliantly bright and can light up the entire room with the lights off. However, if it is too bright for you there is a dimmer on it for you to adjust the setting on it. It is made very, very well and comes in two pieces that plug into each other. The plexiglass was done very well and has no sharp edges. It looks expensive and does not come off as cheap. I wish this was a USB plug in but it is a regular plug that goes into a wall outlet. I do love the saying on the sign because of how many times I asked my wife to marry me! I highly recommend it!
