These rooster cards were requested by members of Cursillo and Amie was so excited to do this project. The color and majestic stance of this rooster is both splendid and clean. Paired with textured colored envelopes and Christian story on the back make these note cards that stand out. Back reads "Colorful Spanish roosters denote wealth and the promise of a new day for the Spanish countryman. The rainbow of the rooster's tail feathers also holds promise pointing to the sign of God’s covenant to Noah. The rooster represents the passion. The account of Peter’s denial and the rooster crowing is recorded in all 4 Gospels. Roosters sit atop many churches in European weather vanes. The cock faces into the wind as Christ faces into the challenges of this world. The rooster symbolizes the rising sun that announces the dawn. The rooster is vigilant and will crow when Jesus returns."
