I vowed as a child I would not have vinyl in my house as an adult. Walking on those horridly rigid vinyl runners, ripping off the skin on the back of my legs from the sofa protectors, inhaling the dust imbedded in the plastic lace doilies and watching my Grandmother and great Aunts set the table on those slick vinyl tablecloths, I scoffed at the idea of every using vinyl in my home.Then I became a Grandmother, my precious Sweet Peas have humbled me and proven that my Grandmother does know best. The large round wooden table has a vibrant tablecloth laid over the wooden round surface for protection. After the first dinner with the Sweet Peas I reverted to purchasing this vinyl tablecloth protector.Do not place hot items directly on the vinyl as it will shrink and pucker. Spills should be wiped immediately away to prevent a staining residue. This is not the thick unyielding or crackling vinyl with the flannel backing I grew up with but a pliable thin sheet of vinyl.My Grandmother must be giggling at how much I've evolved into her.

I have used it for almost 10 months now and it’s still going good. In fact I have use it without table cloth and it still solves the purpose and have no tears so far. Definitely satisfied and recommend it.

I like this because it protects and saves my table cloth from stains and enables me to more easily keep up with the holidays by inserting a runner or decorations under the plastic which I can change out. For Thanksgiving, it protected my turkey table cloth. For Christmas, I used a red table cloth with a green and red runner and cloth placemats in the shape of tree ornaments under the plastic. The plastic held it all together. I washed them all and packed them up for next year with my decorations. They really didn't even need to be washed. The plastic saved them from a wine pouring spill and tomato sauce debacle. Looking towards Valantine's Day, I shortened the table and replaced the long plastic table cloth with this one. The table cloth is now white with a simulated runner made of thin foam heart cutouts in light pink, dark pink, and red. Again, the clear plastic tablecloth secures it all. This time, I have red,plastic, place mats with hearts on them on top of the clear plastic. I've been using a clear plastic tablecloth protector for several years and have saved my clothtable cloths in doing so. Be careful to use trivets to protect the plastic when using hot plated items as the plastic does not hold up well under extreme heat.

I keep a table out in the Texas sun all summer on a patio. I cover it with heavy terry cloth, topped with a colorful checked tablecloth and finally withthis clear tablecloth Protector. The protector has NEVER let me down. When I remove everything from the table top, the table looks as good as new, no sun damage. I use 3 layers because I'm not taking any chances with what the weather may bring. I order a new protector every year. My table top is beautiful wood and by using the protector I feel my bases are covered as far as moisture affecting the wood. So far, so good.

Adorable grandkids were ruining hi end dining table as grandma allowed water games. This topper has survived water, toys. Slime, candles, utensils, etc. At this level of protection we will be able to bequeath them the table. Looks fine, drapes well, easy clean up. Buy one, why worry ?

Everything you would expect from a plastic/vinyl tablecloth cover. I personally am not a fan but was forced to concede since the wood table was not faring well against water stains, etc., thereby necessitating a tablecloth and consequently a tablecloth protector.It's doing better than I expected after nearly two months, though I admit I am not usually the one to buy these. It hasn't yet been deformed or melted by hot food, painted by nail polish or torn by the dog, though I imagine only by sheer luck. It stays pretty flat and seems to cling to the underlying table cloth, making it stay put and be relatively easy to clean.Whenever it is necessary to buy again, I will probably buy this one unless I decide to experiment with the varying thicknesses of vinyl.

I bought this to protect my tablecloths from our kitten.I had ordered another one, which was heavier - but it felt like an old shower curtain, hard, crinkled when it moved, and ready to be replaced. My experience is they don't wash well at that point.This one is soft, and drapes well over the table. Has a hemmed edge to make it neat and tidy. Can be put in my front loader when it needs more cleaning than just being wiped down.

The first one I ordered was perfect. I used it for a year and then used it for a project and needed another. I ordered expecting to get the same thing, and I did not receive the same thing. It seems like this was may have melted while in the packaging or something. The plastic is very thin, not durable and will not lay flat. I would like a replacement.

Its says heavy duty. It is not. Its very thin. Also has the california warning. Wish that was shown on tbe listing. Would have never purchased it if i saw that. STINKS. Soaked it in the tub with soap all day and is hanging outside now. Still stinks

When i had it out in backyard earlier this summer there was some very strong winds and rain. I didn't have it secured properly to patio table. It is very lightweight and needs to be secured with weights to stay down in any kind of wind or rain or you may wake up to it being in a neighbours yard or farther.

The stitching around the edges makes it look much nicer than just a piece of plastic.
