Thought provoking and action packed
I have been listening to this series of books on audible but I had no credits and no whispersync was available so I read it on kindle in on holiday in one day and most of a night. It is nearly impossible to put down once the story gets going. Quite a complicated plot involving a Chinese plan to bring down the US being subverted by way of Islamic terrorists by a billionaire who wishes to make the world a fairer place and establish a socialist/communist global government. However this means the total destroying of capitalism and democracy. Scot Harvath and the team he works with have to uncover the plot, the protagonists and fight to defeat them with any means possible. There are preachy parts where we are treated to a denouncement of political correctness, liberal inability to see the true danger of Islamic fundamentalism, and the inaction of authorities in addressing the threat and an interesting interview between a journalist and the billionaire where his beliefs are put under the microscope. All that aside this is an action packed story with some thought provoking content.

Similar to the rest
This genre of US crime/geo political/international espionage is becoming much of a muchness. All about ex special forces taking on the world against all odds and their own corrupt and/or stupid government politicians.Another Mitch Rapp et al.It's a good read if like me this is your taste but even I am getting bored with it all now.

Great read...
I'm a big fan of all the Brad Thor books. Started reading them after I finished all the Vince Flynn books. Scot's different from Mitch Rapp, but similar sort of thing. Highly recommended!

High degree of realiy
While reading this book, I kept on thinking if, describing the caracter James Standing, Brad hadn't actually a certain George Soros in mind? I was both thrilled and chilled by the high degree of nearly prophetic insight in what is going on in today's (2018) world, in reading this book, written in 2011. Seeing what is going on in the world, and particularly in the USA, I was thrilled to read some people at least seem to see what is really going on, and chilled to realize to what some or capable of, what we probably still can expect, and what we're up to... May people wake up to the raw reality of what Islam is up to! This is, by the way, the single 'weak point' in this book: Brad talks about a 'peaceful' Islam, which is horrified by terror. However, the reality is, unfortunately, that the terrorist ARE the real Islam, and are exactly following their leader, both in his ways, in his caracter and horrific ideology. There is no 'peaceful' Islam (just as there is no violent Christendom, by the way!), but there are many, many muslims who do not know what 'their' religion actually represents, as they only listen to what their iman tells them. If he's a peaceful man, that'll be the way he'll interpret things for them. If he isn't, it's a different story!

Very litle time left.
A very good idea of the sort of things that may happen in a not too distant future if the two main ideologies do not find a way to live together.

Brad Thor doesn't dissapoint.
Scot Harvath, Navy SEAL, turned Secret Service Agent, turned secret squirrel, turned private sector secret squirrle with a govt contract, is back, and continues to kick ass and take names. I can officially say I have now read all the books in order, from Lions of Lucerne to the most recent Act of War. These books are real page turners. If you like action adventure thrillers, look no further than Brad Thor. There are plenty of interesting plot twists, and never really any boring parts to speak of. The action is fast enough to not want to put the book down, yet believable enough that it makes you think, "this could really happen." Brad Thor does his research, and it really shows in his writing. My only complaint is that there is a lot of repetitiveness in explaining some background stuff in relation to who Scot Harvath and where/how he came to be where he is at in the current book. The one benifit to this is you don't necessaruly have to read them in order, although they will make a lot more sense if you do.In closing start by picking up Lions of Lucerne and continue on, Full Black is the third to last book in the Scot Harvath series, and there are 12 books so far. I'm looking forward to the next installment "Code of Conduct" can't wait!
