Bridgestone 2017 Extra Soft Golf Balls (24 Balls)

I normally play Bridgestone B330RX. I love them. I bought a box of Extra Softs hoping I had found a bargain. It is advertised as "Soft" and "Long." It is soft, but the "soft" severely limits "long." This is a 2-piece ball, just a "core" with a "cover." That is very old (1970's) technology and it is very cheap to manufacture (under 20 cents per ball) compared to the current state-of the-art 4 and 5-piece technology. I could see none of the current technologies Bridgestone uses in its higher priced balls - an intermediate mantel for distance, a urethane cover for control, and the dimple-in-a-dimple pattern for straightness and distance. I have played several other balls that are significantly softer and longer for $20 a dozen -- Callaway Supersoft, Wilson Staff Duo, Callaway Hex Soft, and Nike PD Soft. Bridgestone can do much better than this version. I recommend the Bridgestone e series and 330 series.
