Fun and Fresh Ways to Use Hexagons in Projects and Quilts
I really love this book and cannot wait to try some of the projects. I am new at hexies and needed more info. on just what I could do with them. This book is bright and colorful and full of fresh ideas. I like the way she uses them with other blocks, and in borders. Her fabric choices are so cute, and I got a lot of great ideas. I don't think an absolute beginning quilter could make the quilts from the patterns; you need a bit more info, such as how to cut and attach binding. I am an intermediate quilter and I think I can do any of these projects. The main thing is it teaches you how to make hexies, and gives you such cute ideas to use them. I am glad I bought it and will definitely be using these ideas in my future projects. Bright and beautiful pictures and clear directions make it an enjoyable book to read and refer to.

I love this book
Half-way through my pregnancy, I decided to make the front cover quilt for my daughter's nursery (still not done at 6 months old). I checked it out from the library countless times and finally decided just to buy it (after paying late fines equivalent to the book's value). The book is solid, with durable pages and rich coloring. The quilts are simply amazing, beautiful and tastefully modern. The directions for the quilt I'm doing have been spot-on. Haven't found any errors. If you are new to hexagons (as was I, and my mother who is helping me), she spells it out so well, even giving you several techniques to choose from, and the reasoning and applications behind them. I have a feeling this will remain my favorite quilt book... unless Tacha writes another!

Good book
The book is well written. Great ideas but the color scheme is off-putting

Good resource..
I have a quilt that my grandmother made many years ago. It was a grandmother's flower garden quilt which was hand tied. Unfortunately there are holes where the ties are, but I still treasure it because it was something that can bring me close to my grandmother. Because I am a quilter and I love my grandmother's quilt, I've undertaken to make a quilt by hand using hexagons and this book will serve well as a resource.

Good ideas for Hexies. Talkes about carrying along a small kit and you can sew in small increments of time normally wasted.
Gave me plenty of information as this was my first time making hexies. I enjoy the book and still have part of it to read, but working on a lap quilt already also.

Hexa-Go-Go Rocks
I have followed Tacha Bruecher through the Fat Quarterly magazine and am always impressed with what she brings to the table. This book certainly does not disappoint. The number of hexies required for some projects sounds alarmingly high, but accept it as an opportunity to do something you love while relaxing.Lots of great ideas that can also be applied to smaller, more manageable projects.

If you like hexies, this book is for you
Tacha Bruecher includes a nice selection of smaller projects to play with different sized hexies. Enjoy

So much work has gone into writing this book!
I am currently making a hexagon quilt (not from this book) and can only be amazed at the work that has gone into producing the quilts in this book. They are varied and groped into the following categories: rosette, diamonds, stars, blocks and free form. The box bag had caught my eye and could very well be my first small project. Or it could be something for Christmas. Or perhaps the Argyle quilt.......I have not made any of the quilts as yet, so the reason for four stars, but the instructions firstly detail the number of hexagons required and then expand on how to quickly achieve this number. Really useful.

Get modern
I have always loved hexagons and this book really adds a modern dimension to them. Being stitched by hand, hexagons are so portable and can be popped into your bag when you know you are going to be in a waiting room or going on holiday. The instructions in Hexa-Go-Go are very clear and the patterns inspirational. My grand daughter - soon to be 22 - wants a copy for her birthday after seeing mine and can't wait to get going with her hexagons. I would recommend it to anyone who loves sewing by hand.

Good but not great - the e-version at least
I downloaded the e-book format of Hexa Go Go when I noticed it had dropped in price. I'm glad I only spent a fiver on the e-version. As a complete beginner, I prefer to follow pictures as opposed to illustrations. Hexa Go Go is a good book, but it's all written instructions and/or illustrations. Although the patterns are nice and it is a good book, if you're after a more in-depth and detailed book, with lots of pictures, I'd get Quilting on the Go instead.

Patterns mixing EPP and other piecing techniques, some machine sewing
Some nice patterns, but I mostly sew by hand. There are other books that beginners to EPP might find more helpful. Overall I am glad to own this book.

Fantastic!
What a great book! I was so happy to see use the fantastic resources in the Appendix, and very delighted to find out about the author's website(s). It is great to see how a traditional method has been rejuvenated into a contemporary book with contemporary fabrics and a contemporary aesthetic. The single best sewing book I have ever bought.
