Been around for many decades for a reason
I remember when it was really easy to find these filters in places like Home Depot, etc. Then they stopped stocking them well because they preferred to push those expensive and more profitable pleated things that make your furnace work doubly hard to force some air through them. When I asked about them to my furnace guy who comes to clean out my furnace every year and does repairs for other properties I own, he said, "Some people will fall for anything".There is a reason why these filters still compete with those expensive filters with claims that they will do just about everything but vacuum for you. They are still around because they work, because they work at a reasonable cost, and because they are the most efficient way to filter out furnace dust without putting stress on your furnace. All you have to do is change them every 30 days. In fact, considering their more reasonable cost, you can change them more often if you have a Rough Collie like I do. And you won't have to put up with that signature whistling sound your furnace makes trying to do its job through a thick filter that offers resistance. Seriously, folks, more expensive is not always better. Unless you have allergies, you do not need to spend a fortune on furnace filters. And I do have my doubts that the claims made by some filters are even true when you compare them to a real whole-home air cleaner device.

Saved me a trip
I am so happy to have found just plain fiberglass filers for my AC unit. These are like gold. They are becoming extinct. Everywhere I look all that is stocked are those pleated filters. My AC tech says that the pleated filters hinder air flow and should not be used. Every tech I've talked to says to use the plain jane fiberglass filters. I ordered a box of 12 and they shipped quickly and now I have a year's supply. I'm keeping the vendor info for next year's order.

I like these and they are priced great
Seem to work well. I recently read that those paper "allergen" filters that people are now using (that are super high priced) are really not very good for our air conditioners because they do not allow air to flow as well as this type does. I like these as they seem to filter out a lot of junk AND they are affordable. Have you seen what people are charging for those paper filters? Ridiculous. Seems like a rip off to me. These came white and not blue as pictured here. But that is fine with me. I prefer white so I can see the dirt better. I am happy with this purchase.

Get these filters and throw out those overpriced ones today!
These work great. You get your basic filter not the heavy duty ones you see all the time. I was informed by my HVAC repairman that the heavy ones ( example 3M ) will make the fan run harder, causing more harm in the long run. Now they don't filter every little piece of dust but they are about $2 each and only last 30-40 days (but that depends on you home environment). In the end get these and stop paying for over priced filters that'll just cause more problems.

Great product and great price along with great service
They had great customer service that worked with me beyond need. There were a couple of damaged several filters, and they more than refunded the amount that the damaged ones cost. I actually ask them to lower the refund because of they were too generous. The filters are just perfect for what I needed. Not too restrictive, but better filtering then the cheaper ones you can buy. .

Made my second story much cooler because of the higher airflow
I had another brand with the pleated filter fabric in my system and noticed that my second story just didn't seem cool this summer but it was really hot out. My A/c guy was out replacing the capacitor on the outside unit and said to go with this style filter. He said you will get more dust but your system will run much better. Within an hour of changing to this filter the upstairs was much cooler because of the higher airflow.

The filter seems like it will be better if you have low air ...
They are not blue, not sure that it really matters but it makes me wonder if I got what I paid for. The filter seems like it will be better if you have low air flow. If you need something to keep out fine material than this is not for you. I wanted it for the airflow reasons. So it's good for me.The reason for 3 stars is the shipping was really slow. I live in Utah and the product shows shipped from California. It took two or three weeks. I'm use to getting things from amazon in 2 days. If you are okay with slow shipping than this product will do.Packaging was good.

Prudent and efficient
As others have written, these air filters are becoming more difficult to find. The HEPA air filters do seem to suppress the flow of cool and hot air through our house. We have noticed this in the past. We find these filters to be the most prudent and efficient.
