I needed a snap ring pliers to dismantle barbell collars for cleaning and lubrication. I don't often need to work with circlips but I recently replaced the gears in my stand mixer and this was a must-have accessory for it. Unfortunately the tips on the tool were too thick to handle the circlip that came with the mixer. Weirdly, the replacement kit came with a circlip did have larger holes that worked with these tools. I ended up modifying one of these with my dremel, filling down the points until it fit the smaller hole. With 4 different tools to choose from, and at this price, I don't feel any regret. Worked great, it just took more effort than I would have wanted.

This set is a nice mid-grade at an affordable price. They aren't the life-time guaranteed best backed by a tool truck, but they aren't garbage either. Can I use the words harbor and freight? These are better than the set they sell at a similar price. Of course, if you want to spend more...

I used these in the field, where broken tools can't happen. After over 100 uses on a single plier, the tips are still in good condition. Great quality, can't beat the price!

I used these in two projects before they broke.The first project was replacement of UJoints on my truck. I used them to remove and replace the small snap ring. They worked great for that.The second project these were not adequate enough to stand up to the job. I tried using them for the 1.25" snap ring in my hubs and they weren't strong enough to open the ring and eventually broke the tips.

I bought these to install wheel bearing locking ring and I couldn't be any happier with these pliers. Great quality and it made my job so much easier. Rust resistant and the perfect size. Very versatile tool to align whatever you need it for
